A portable enclosure is configured to mix room air with a controlled amount of exterior air via one or more flexible conduits disposed between the enclosure and an exterior window. At least one flexible conduit is connected to a barrier structure which is designed for sealable placement within the window. One or more mixing dampers are employed to control the amount of exterior air supplied to the enclosure. An air moving device delivers exterior air in controlled amounts to the enclosure which is designed to be moveable so that a more desirable (fresher, cooler, and more contaminant free) stream of air is deliverable to the personal space of an occupant to satisfy ventilation and temperature requirements.

Combined automotive electrical testing module and holder/display therefor

The modular electronic device includes a main unit and at least one plug-in module adapted to be removably slid on to and mounted on the main unit. There are first and second interfitting connectors respectively on the main unit and the module which automatically interfit when the module is mounted. First and second interfitting track structure are respectively on the module and main unit to facilitate sliding the module onto the main unit. Finally, there is first and second interfitting latching elements respectively on the main unit and the module to hold the module latched in place.

A sensor is periodically energized and the sensor output is amplified, the amplified signal being applied to two sample-and-hold circuits which are alternately activated in response to the sensor drive, one being activated only when the sensor is energized and the other being activated when the sensor is not energized. One of the samples is subtracted from the other in a summer for cancelling the amplifier offset. The summer output may be buffered, and there is also applied to the summer an offset correction signal for cancelling sensor offset and buffer offset inaccuracies.

Method and apparatus for low power offset correction of amplified sensor

Engine timing apparatus includes a timing light and a pickup for producing a pickup signal in response to each ignition in a selected cylinder. The operator keys in the desired advance or retard angle in degrees in a range anywhere between +180.degree. and -180.degree.. A program-controlled microcontroller with an internaltimer samples the time period between pickup signals and, using this information and the advance of retard angle, calculates engine rpm and the proper time delay for the flash. The system automatically corrects for system delays to produce extremely accurate timing functions. The system may be used with an inductive pickup for timing gasoline engines or with a luminosity pickup for timing diesel engines. At high rpms the system produces a flash in response to every other pickup signal.
