A mounting system includes a double-beam support structure comprising two parallel, horizontal bars spaced apart vertically, and a bracket designed to hang from the double support bars while resisting rotation about the support bars. The bracket is slidably positionable along the support bars and may further include a releasable clamp jaw for clamping one of the support bars to selectively fix the position of the bracket along the support bars. The bracket may support a mounting assembly for an electronic visual display, an extension boom assembly, or another item.

An ergonomic desk includes an adjustable display stand supported on a table or other support platform of the desk. The display stand is adapted to support one or more display monitors thereon and to provide depth and height adjustment for the display monitors via electronic controls. The height and tilt of the table may also be adjusted using electronic controls.

An instrumentation rack (10) includes a rectangular base frame (12) and a slanted support structure (13) having a pair of bent transverse braces (54). The bent braces (54) can be formed in a variety of heights and with a range of medial bends (70) to provide a variety of shapes for the instrumentation rack (10). A pair of straight mounting rails (76) are longitudinally aligned along a slant angle (72) preferably determined by the angle of medial bends (70). The slant of the mounting rails (76) permits the face plates, including controls and monitors, of equipment to be angled advantageously for operator comfort, access, and visibility. This angled arrangement permits equipment to be ergonomically stored and operated below desk level.
