Described are computer-based methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, for parameterized telecommunication intercept. A parameterized intercept request comprises (i) a set of intercept events for identifying a candidate telecommunication message for intercept, the set of intercept events comprising at least two of the following types of intercept events: an internet protocol event, a media event, or a signaling event, (ii) a criterion associated with the set of intercept events, and (iii) a set of intercept actions for processing the candidate telecommunication message. A first telecommunication message is received. The first telecommunication message is determined to match the set of intercept events based on the criterion. The set of intercept actions is executed based on the matched first telecommunication message.

Parameterized telecommunication intercept

A method and apparatus are provided for creating traditional multi-line appearance telecommunications capabilities in a computer network for communications received from a switched circuit network. The system and method create key system and attendant/attendee relationships between the respective terminal end-points of the computer network. In addition, multiple line appearances may be supported simultaneously at a single terminal end-point.

Multi-line appearance telephony via a computer network

Web pages retrieved by a browser core are translated into user interface component definitions and page information. The definitions and page information are transmitted to a user device which recomposes the definitions and page information into a format for presentation to a user on a user device. Transmitting the definitions and page information includes translation of the definitions and page information into a format appropriate for both the particular communications media on which the information is transmitted, and the device to which the information is transmitted. The device includes a browser client which performs the recomposition. The browser client also receives user input, and may respond by altering the information locally at the user device, and sending information related to the user selection back to the browser core for further processing. The browser core also tracks user sessions, thus allowing a user to access the network from several devices, and capture session information for each access from each device. This allows users to switch devices, and start a new session at the point where a previous session ended.

Multi-line telephony via network gateways

A multi-party conferencing method and system determine which participants are currently speaking and send a speaker identification message to the terminals used by the participants in the conference. The terminals then display the speaker's identity on a display screen. When more than one participant is speaking at the same moment in time, the system analyzes the audio streams from the terminals and identifies a terminal associated with a dominant party. When multiple participants are using the terminal associated with the dominant party, the system identifies the speaking participant within the dominant party based on an indication received from the speaker. In one embodiment, the invention is implemented in an H.323 Internet telephony environment.

A communication system that provides call connections and voice mail service to telephone devices. With this system, a called party has the ability to monitor and control an incoming voice mail message, made by a calling party, which is to be recorded onto a voice mail system. The system includes a switch that connects the incoming calls to the called party and the voice mail system. A voice mail intercept service terminal receives a message to be recorded on the voice mail system and also selectively connects the incoming call to the called party for a two-way communication.

Real-time voicemail monitoring and call control over the internet

An electronic sensor for detecting when a septic tank reaches it's design capacity. The sensor uses a sonar transponder to measure the thickness of the three layers of material present in a properly operating septic tank. The sonar transponder is encapsulated in a environmentally sealed sensor assembly that floats in a self-orienting fashion at the top of the material contained in the septic tank. The sensor relays signals through a cable harness to a signal interpretation module located in a convenient indoor location. The signal interpretation module contains a digital signal processing (DSP) sub-system and an alarm sub-system. The DSP sub-system interprets the electronic signals from the sonar sensor resulting in a measurement of the relative volume of the material in septic tank as well as measures of the elevation of the bottom of the top (scum) layer and the top of the bottom (sludge) layer. Any of these measures may indicate that the tank has reached it's design capacity and should therefor be pumped. The alarm sub-system provides visual and audio alarms in a escalating fashion providing early warning of the impending need to service the tank.
