A fuel system, comprising at least one fuel component formed of a steel alloy comprising 0.01-0.31 wt. % carbon, 0.0-0.20 wt. % silicon, 0.15-0.50 wt. % manganese, 0.0-0.015 wt. % phosphorous, 0.0-0.001 wt. % sulfur, 4.80-5.20 wt. % chromium, 4.80-6.20 wt. % nickel, 0.60-0.80 wt. % molybdenum, 0.0-0.550 wt. % vanadium, and 2.000-2.400 wt. % aluminum, wherein the at least one fuel component is configured to come in contact with fuel when fuel is ran through the fuel system.

A one-piece solenoid stator core is provided, comprising: a plurality of outer wall segments; a plurality of inner wall segments; and a lower wall extending between the plurality of outer wall segments and the plurality of inner wall segments; wherein a plurality of outer slots is defined between the plurality of outer wall segments and a plurality of inner slots is defined between the plurality of inner wall segments, each of the outer slots being radially aligned with an inner slot relative to a central axis of the stator core.

A juncture and method for changing direction of fuel flow in a high pressure fuel injection system such as a common rail and/or a fuel pump, the juncture comprising a body, a first passage formed in the body having a first diameter and a longitudinal axis extending therethrough, the first passage including a groove positioned along a portion of the longitudinal axis, and a second passage formed in the body having a second diameter, a central axis extending therethrough, and an opening, the opening of the second passage being provided in the groove of the first passage to allow fluidic communication between the second passage and the first passage so that stresses at the juncture caused by high pressure fuel changing direction of flow is reduced. The juncture is made from a bottom poured ingot cast alloy steel.

A wear resistant, reduced stress at increased injection pressure fuel distributor assembly for distributing high pressure fuel to the fuel injectors of an internal combustion engine is provided. The assembly includes a fuel distributor rotor with a surface profile configuration that effectively and efficiently distributes high and low pressure fuel to the fuel injectors without internal fuel distribution channels. The rotor is preferably formed from a high thermal expansion, wear-resistant ceramic or coated metal material.
