An arrow system for reducing a kill time of a prey features an arrow shaft and an arrowhead. An arrowhead first end features a terminating point for piercing and an arrowhead second end features an arrowhead threaded rod for attaching to a shaft first end. The system features a tail component having a tail second end with a nock for interfacing with a bow string. A tail first end features a tail threaded rod for attaching to a shaft second end. A plurality of fletchings, each having a sharp edge, is located on an outer periphery of the tail component. Each fletching features a centrally located aperture. Each fletching outer periphery features a shape of a scalene triangle. Each fletching aperture features a shape of a similar triangle with respect to the scalene-triangle-shaped fletching outer periphery.

Arrow system

A bolt-arrow system having a shaft with a first end and a second end, an arrowhead component having a pointed end and a shaft end, the shaft end removably engages the first end of the shaft, a fletch head having a shaft end and a back end, the shaft end removably engages the second end of the shaft, and a plurality of fletchings extending outwardly from the fletch head, the fletchings each comprise a sharp edge.

Crossbow bolt or arrow system for enhancing wounds

A roof stabilizer for use in securing surfaces in tunneling and mining is disclosed and claimed. The stabilizer has a tube with a slot and a ring attached to the bottom end of the tube. The ring can have indicia on a bottom surface of the ring or a side surface of the ring or both. The location of the indicia can provide better indication of the properties of the stabilizer to the installer. The indicia is easier to read than that of the background art both before and after installation. The location of the indicia can also provide easer and quicker visual inspection of already installed stabilizers to verify that the proper roof stabilizers were installed. The location of the indicia lessens the likelihood that corrosion will remove the indicia making it unidentifiable. The stabilizer disclosed and claimed also allows the use of grout or an adhesive in the interior of the tube which does not cover up or conceal the indicia on the ring as opposed to indicia in the background art stabilizers. Also disclosed are various locations and methods for placing indicia on the heads of roof bolts. Such indicia locations and methods for placement also aid in the pre and post installation and inspection of roof bolts to provide easier verification that devices with the correct properties were installed.

Friction stabilizers and roof bolt head markings

A sterile and disposable cover for the prism of an applanation tonometer or similar device functions to preclude the transfer of microorganisms from the eye of a patient to the prism during an examination. The prism is a rearwardly diverging frustoconical configured member with a flat forwardly disposed face, and the cover includes a conformable barrier and a removable holder. The cover has a body of substantially optically transparent material for deposition upon the flat forwardly disposed face; and a side portion contiguous with the body portion. The side portion clings resiliently to the prism wall forming a seal therewith. Optionally, there are provided tab portions attached to the outer edges of the side portion, which tabs faciltate the removal of the disposable cover. The removable holder is used for depositing the barrier upon the holder includes a carrier strip releasably adhered to the barrier, with an aperture in the carrier strip for exposing the body portion and for receiving the face of the prism. This enables insertion of the prism through the aperture so that the face is emplaced on the body portion of the cover. To maintain sterility, an aperture cover is removably secured to the carrier strip on the side opposite the barrier. The aperture cover is demountable from the barrier and may be demounted without disturbing the mechanical barrier. Further, a sterile seal attached to the carrier strip completes the safeguarding of the barrier.
