The disclosure is a scanning device comprising a scanning assembly including a scanning engine and a scan window; a bezel including a first opening, a second opening, and a bezel body extending between the first and second openings and having an inner surface and outer surface; an antenna assembly including a transceiver and at least one antenna element; and a housing including a handle portion, a head portion, and a trigger portion. The scanning engine is coupled to the scan window and the scan window at least partially covers the first opening. The antenna element is arranged around at least a portion of a surface of the bezel body. The head portion is configured to include the bezel, at least a portion of the antenna assembly, and at least a portion of the scanning assembly, and the trigger portion which couples to the scanning engine.

Scanning assemblies are disclosed herein. An example scanning assembly includes a slot scanner and a mounting system. The slot scanner includes an imaging assembly configured to capture an image frame appearing in a field of view (FOV) and a housing having a cavity configured to accommodate the imaging assembly. The mounting system includes a flange member at least partially surrounding an opening formed within the mounting system, and at least two support arms extending from the flange. The at least two support arms engage a portion of the housing of the slot scanner to retain the slot scanner within the opening formed by the flange.

Single slot cradles with interchangeable tops are disclosed herein. An example cradle includes a base assembly including a coupling mechanism, a top housing assembly operably coupled with the coupling mechanism, a circuit board assembly, and a first cup assembly. The top housing assembly includes a housing opening. The circuit board assembly is at least partially disposed within the housing opening and includes a board communication interface and at least one of a power interface or a data connection interface. The first cup assembly removably couples with at least one of the base assembly or the top housing assembly and includes at least one dock to operably couple with a handheld scanning device and further includes a cup communication interface. The board communication interface communicatively couples with the cup communication interface to allow transmission between at least one of the power interface or the data interface and the handheld scanning device.

Barcode readers and barcode reader assemblies with lift handles are disclosed herein. An example bioptic barcode reader assembly includes a barcode reader having a housing and a metal frame secured to the housing. A retractable first lift handle having an elongated first aperture is positioned on a first side of the housing and a retractable second lift handle having an elongated second aperture is positioned on a second side of the housing, opposite the first side. Each of the first and second lift handles is movable relative to the housing between a retracted position and an extended position and the first and second apertures in the first and second lift handles overlie a first center of gravity of the barcode reader and a second center of gravity of the barcode reader assembly.
