A portable hydraulic fluid handler cart capable of transporting liquid storage containers and providing filtered fluid transfer. Quick-disconnect couplers at the cart and system adapters, along with replaceable filter cartridges, maintain fluid integrity at the system and serviced equipment. An electric motor, transfer pump, retractable extension cord and power control switch mount to the cart. Forks, rails and an adjustable clamp contain a liquid drum to the cart. A pair of handles and four wheels facilitate gripping, tipping and transport of drum containers. A kickstand stabilizes the cart when used alone. The filter media at the cart and adapters is selected to simultaneously filter liquid-borne and airborne particles and water from the fluid.

Filtered hydraulic fluid handling system

A method of analysis by high performance liquid chromatography is provided for obtaining an analysis of three components, namely acyclic paraffins, cycloparaffins and unsaturates, present in a liquid hydrocarbon mixture. The method comprises introducing a sample of the mixture to be analyzed into an unsaturates-selective column, passing the eluents from the unsaturates-selective column to a second column, eluting the separated components from the second column, detecting the presence of paraffins and naphthenes in the effluent from the second column, eluting the separated components from the unsaturates-selective column, and detecting the presence of unsaturates in the effluent from the unsaturates-selective column. The unsaturates-selective column is a silver-modified ion exchange column. The second column is a slurry packed column packed with a microparticulate material. The detector is a dielectric constant detector.

Hydrocarbon group-type analyzer system

This invention concerns analysis by high performance liquid chromatography HPLC) of crude oils and petroleum products. In one embodiment of the invention a sample is quantitatively separated into saturates, alkyl benzenes and polynuclear aromatics using a system comprising a column packed with a porous silica packing material having a polar amino-cyano bonded phase in tandem with a column packed with a tetranitrofluorenimino packing material, and a dielectric constant detector. In another embodiment of the invention a sample is qualitatively separated into saturates, olefins, and total aromatics using a system employing an olefin-selective column and a dielectric constant detector.
