An aerosol medicament delivery adapter comprises a first conduit, second conduit and a diverter element. The first conduit encloses a flow path chamber and extends between an upstream first end and a downstream second end. The second conduit comprises an aerosol medicament delivery conduit that includes an upstream first end adapted to be fluidly coupled to a particle generator, and a downstream second end luidly coupled to the first conduit at a Y-junction proximate the upstream first end of the first conduit. The diverter element comprises a flow diverter chamber disposed within the first conduit or the second conduit. The cylindrical flow diverter chamber includes a transitional flow cross-section and a principal axis, extending between a first end and a second end thereof. The diverter element creates flow eddies for enhancing an entrainment of aerosol particles, delivered via the second conduit, within a pressurized gas flow along the flow path within the first conduit.

A patient interface of the present invention includes a faceplate including a plurality of headgear attachment elements, a seal member operatively coupled to the faceplate; and an adjustment mechanism coupling the seal member to the faceplate. The adjustment mechanism controls the position of the seal member relative to the faceplate such that the seal member is moveable from a first position to a second position and is maintained in the second position during use of the patient interface after being moved to the second position.

A patient interface device includes a patient sealing assembly having a cushion and a frame member having a faceplate portion and an extension portion extending from the faceplate portion. The cushion is coupled to the faceplate portion. A forehead member engages the forehead of the patient, and a flexible elongated member is coupled to the extension portion. A drive assembly selectively causes the second end portion of the flexible elongated member to move relative to the extension portion in a first direction. Movement of the flexible elongated member relative to the extension portion in the first direction causes movement of the frame member relative to the forehead member in a second direction transverse to the first direction.

A patient interface device includes a patient sealing assembly adapted to communicate a flow of breathing gas within an airway of a patient, a fluid coupling conduit fluidly coupled to the patient sealing assembly, the fluid coupling conduit being structured to receive the flow of breathing gas and communicate the flow of breathing gas to the patient sealing assembly, and a headgear component structured to secure the patient interface device to the patient's head, the headgear component including a strap member having a generally C-shaped connector member. The generally C-shaped connector member is structured to at least partially wrap around and be releasably received and held by or within a receiving feature provided on one of: (i) the fluid coupling conduit, and (ii) an extension member extending outwardly from the patient sealing assembly.

The forehead support is moved by an wedge-type adjustment mechanism such that linear translation of the wedge moves the forehead support among the plurality of positions and fixes the forehead support in a desired position among the plurality of positions.

A sealing assembly is attached to the support member via a snap assembly associated with the support member and the sealing assembly. The snap assembly allows the sealing assembly to selectively attach to the support member.

A patient interface device that includes a frame sized and configured to span at least a portion of a patient's face while remaining below the patient's eyes when the patient interface device is donned by the patient. A support member is coupled to the frame such that the support member is moveable relative to the frame. A sealing assembly is attached to the support member. A pair of patient contacting members are operatively coupled to the frame and supporting the frame on a patient's face.
