Cable handling devices, methods and systems are provided for securing and deploying, or retracting, one or more cables or hoses into or out of a pipe or cavity allowing inspection of the pipe or cavity. The cables and/or hoses may be coupled and moved together, or decoupled enabling them to be moved independently. A hand-held device with a housing for at least partially enclosing one or more cables or hoses, at least one coupling mechanism integrally attached to the housing, and a coupling control for coupling and decoupling the one or more cables or hoses may be provided. One or more of the cables may be connected to a camera disposed at the distal end of a cable thereby facilitating inspection of the pipe or cavity. Tools such as cutting devices or a jetter may be provided at the end of the one or more cables and/or hoses.

Systems and methods for sensing pressure

A flow meter and method for determining the corrected flow rate of a liquid falling into a predetermined class of liquids based on its viscosity and density is disclosed. The flow meter comprises a flow sensor for measuring an uncorrected flow rate of the liquid, a temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of the liquid, and a microprocessor for calculating the corrected flow rate based on the liquids predetermined class and the measured temperature. The flow sensor can include a restriction in the fluid flow path, first and second pressure sensors positioned one on each side of the restriction and a temperature sensor. The first and second pressure sensors measure the drop in fluid pressure created by the restriction and the temperature sensor measures the temperature of the liquid. By basing the corrected flow rate calculation on the predetermined class of the liquid, the calculation becomes a closed form solution that is deterministic providing for quick and accurate corrected flow rate calculation. A flow meter according to the present invention can be used in many applications such as, among others, liquid beverage dispensers and variable speed pumps.

An antenna performance monitor comprises an antenna sensor for coupling to n antenna radiating a radio frequency signal. The antenna sensor generates signals Vm and Im representative of the antenna input voltage and current. An A/D converter is coupled to the antenna sensor for digitizing signals Vm and Im. A data processor is coupled to the A/D converter for generating outputs representative of impedance magnitude and phase angle of the antenna substantially concurrently with changes in frequency of the radio frequency signal.

A very low frequency and low frequency transmitting antenna parameter monring system is used to measure the electric circuit parameters in near real time of very low frequency and low frequency transmitting antenna systems transmitting frequency shift keyed modulation. The primary parameters measured by the system are the antenna feed-point voltage, antenna current, gross resistance, gross reactance and steady-state phase angle between the voltage and current. Four primary sections provide for antenna system sensing by sensors, triggering, analog-to-digital conversion of the sensor outputs and computer processing of the digital data to arrive at the desired antenna parameters. These parameters are essential in evaluating antenna performance and in diagnosing problems with the antenna system.
