A brewing device includes a base portion with a support surface. A carafe is configured to be selectively supported on the support surface. A filter basket is removeably supported on an upper portion of the carafe. An immersion chamber is fluidically coupled to an outlet disposed over the filter basket. A water reservoir is fluidically coupled to both the immersion chamber and the outlet disposed over the filter basket. A pump is in fluid communication with the water reservoir and operable to selectively advance water to one of the outlet disposed over the filter basket and the immersion chamber from the water reservoir. The brewing device is configured to brew a beverage using a pour-over brewing method, an immersion brewing method, or a filtered immersion brewing method.

A grilling device includes a housing includes a fixed lower heating plate and a rotatable swing arm disposed at a primary pivot positioned proximate a rear end of the housing. An operable upper heating plate is coupled to the swing arm such that an intermediate portion of the swing arm rotationally engages a central portion of the upper heating plate at a secondary pivot to define an adjacent face-up position, a stacked face-up position and a face-down position. A leveling mechanism maintains the upper heating plate in parallel with the lower heating plate as the swing arm operates about at least a portion of the primary pivot.

A blending appliance includes a housing with a jar receiving area defined between an upper housing and a support base. A blender jar includes a base portion and a receptacle portion, and is configured to be laterally received within the jar receiving area of the housing. A magnetic coupling system includes an upper magnetic coupler disposed in the base portion of the blender jar and a lower magnetic coupler disposed in the support base of the housing. The upper and lower magnetic couplers are magnetically coupled to one another for driving a blade assembly disposed in the receptacle portion of the blender jar. A brake mechanism is disposed on the upper magnetic coupler and is configured to stop rotation of the upper magnetic coupler when the blender jar is removed from the jar receiving area.

A bowl liner for a mixing bowl of a stand mixer includes a shell and a rim secured an upper end of the shell. The shell is sized to be received in the mixing bowl, and is formed from an elastomeric material. The shell has a mixing chamber defined therein. The rim includes an outer perimeter surface that has a keyed surface section to locate the liner relative to the stand mixer.

A food processor includes a bowl with a removable lid. Food items are advanced into the bowl through a feed tube formed in the lid where they are cut by a cutting assembly. The cutting assembly is adjustable to vary the thickness of the cut food items. A user-operated control device adjusts the cutting thickness of the cutting assembly. The control device is located outside of the bowl.

A coupling assembly for coupling a blade assembly of a removable jar to a motor located in the base of a blender includes a tapered metallic male coupler that is received into a tapered non-metallic female coupler. An electromagnetic field is generated to secure the male coupler in the female coupler.

A refrigerator has a cabinet including a refrigeration compartment and a supply of water in the cabinet, with a door attached to the cabinet to selectively open and close access to the refrigeration compartment. A water conduit is located in the door to supply water from the cabinet supply of water to a point of utilization in the door. A water heater is located in the door arranged to heat water from the cabinet supply of water. A brew chamber is located in the door and arranged to receive a supply of ground coffee beans and water heated by the water heater to make brewed coffee. A dispensing outlet communicates with the brew chamber to allow for the dispensing of the brewed coffee at the door of the refrigerator, and a control is provided to control the heating of the water and the dispensing of the brewed coffee.

A spout assembly for a hot water dispenser having a valve body including an outlet and a sealed valve assembly for controlling liquid flow within the valve body. A liquid conduit is connected to the outlet. A spout cover is removably disposed over the valve body and the liquid conduit such that the spout cover may be removed from the valve body without disturbing the seal of the valve assembly.
