Water treatment device

A point of sale device includes a card mounted on a hanger on a vertically extending mounting structure of a retail shop. The card carries a reusable storage container in which articles are stored. The container includes a body with an opening closed by a transparent, sealable, removable and re-sealable lid. The container is mounted on the card and the device is mounted on the hanger so a prospective purchaser can see the articles through the transparent lid. In one embodiment, the body includes a permanent magnet abutting the base.

Point of sale device

A wallboard wall carries a picture or shelf hanger in a hole between front and back faces of the wall. The hanger includes: a one-piece member having (a) a shoulder having a bottom portion bearing against a bottom portion of the hole and extending horizontally through the hole, (b) an arm extending upwardly from the shoulder, (c) a leg (i) extending downwardly from the shoulder, and (ii) located outside the front face of the wall and (d) a load bearing surface for receiving the object. The arm has a sharp pointed end piercing the back face of the wall and extending into the wall via the back face of the wall.

Wall hanger

A picture hanger has a base portion having a hole for an elongated fastener (nail or screw). The base portion carries a member enclosing a front face or the entire base portion. The member has a through hole aligned with and on one or both sides of the fastener hole. The elongated fastener is held in place in the holes so that the fastener need not be manually held during driving thereof into a picture frame or wall. The member is injection molded on the base portion, and consists essentially of nylon-6,6 having a Shore A hardness in the range of 80-90.

Structure for mounting an object on a vertical surface and method of making same

A point-of-sale device carries an article having plural interfitting parts that must be fitted together by a human assembler after purchase, and includes a panel for enabling the device to be presented to a prospective purchaser at a retail shop. The panel includes a container in which the interfitting parts of the article in the assembled condition are located. The container has a transparent region through which the interfitting parts, in their assembled condition, can be seen by a prospective purchaser. The point-of-sale device is mounted on a horizontally extending, elongated element carried by a pegboard.

Point-of-sale device for an article having plural interfitting parts

A picture hanger is initially held in place on a wall in a temporary manner without damaging the wall by including a backing with a shock absorbing layer overlaid by a temporary adhesive film. Prior to the picture hanger being temporarily fastened to the wall, the temporary adhesive film is covered by a protective paper sheet. The shock absorbing layer prevents the wall from being indented when the hanger is permanently secured to the wall by hammering a pin or nail through the layer and film. The layer is sufficiently soft to hold the nail in place when the nail impales the layer prior to hammering the nail into the wall. Prior to the backing being secured to the hanger, the permanent adhesive film is overlaid by another removable protective sheet. Initially the backings are located on an elongated strip and are punched from the strip for mounting on the hook body.
