Methods and systems for analyzing data are described. In one embodiment, a method comprises a processor receiving a data analysis algorithm over a network and executing the data analysis algorithm, the data analysis algorithm analyzing data stored in a database using machine learning to identify a database organizational format, the data analysis algorithm identifying one or more locations for a set of data stored on the database based on identifying the database organizational format, the data analysis algorithm parsing the set of data to identify whether any entries in the database associated with the set of data includes a particular value, and the data analysis algorithm communicating over the network at least a first number of entries in the database that include the particular value and a second number of entries in the database that do not include the particular value.

Methods and systems processing data

Methods and systems for drug interaction review are described. In an example embodiment, a prescription request is received for a prescription drug. The prescription drug is associated with a prescription. A determination that the prescription drug is a controlled substance is made. Pharmacy claims data is analyzed to determine whether past claims adjudication data is associated with a patient controlled substance identifier. The patient controlled substance identifier is associated with a patient that has been prescribed the prescription drug through the prescription without identifying the patient as being a member of a benefit manager. The prescription request is evaluated based on a determination that the past claims adjudication data is associated with the patient controlled substance identifier. A notification is generated based on evaluation of the prescription request. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.

Drug interaction review methods and systems

Systems and methods for prescription drug packaging are described. In some embodiments, a determination that a member of a pharmacy benefit plan has had a plurality of prescription drugs previously filled is made. An adjudication request for a prescription drug prescribed for the member is received. The adjudication request is based on a fulfillment request to fill the prescription drug. A determination that a blister packaging criterion has been met may be made based on a drug type of the prescription drug and a determination that the member has had the plurality of prescription drugs that have previously been filled. A blister fill instruction is transmitted based on receipt of the adjudication request and a determination that the blister packaging criterion has been met, wherein the blister fill instruction reflects that a pharmacy is to fill the prescription drug utilizing blister packaging. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.

Systems and methods for prescription drug packaging

Weight loss methods and systems are described. In one embodiment, behavior modification program data indicating participation in a weight loss behavior modification program is recorded. Drug therapy program data indicating drug fulfillment of a weight loss drug therapy program drug is recorded, in which the drug fulfillment of the weight loss drug therapy program drug occurs after participation in the weight loss behavior modification program. Whether a weight loss surgical program criterion has been met is determined based on analysis of the behavior modification program data and the drug therapy program data. The weight loss surgical program criterion is based on the participation in the weight loss behavior modification program and the drug fulfillment of the weight loss drug therapy program drug. A surgical weight loss program approval is generated based on a determination that the surgical weight loss program criterion has been met. Additional methods and systems are disclosed.

Weight loss systems and methods

Methods for determining whether a drug is a specialty drug, methods for creating tools to be used in making the determination, and the tools themselves are disclosed. The overall value of a drug depends on the drug's attribute values with respect to each of a set of drug attributes (concerning, e.g., the drug's route of administration, targeted disease, possible adverse reactions, risk of toxicity, cost, need for patient compliance with the treatment regime, and handling, preparation, and/or storage requirements. If the overall value or its partial overall values meet certain criteria, the drug is deemed to be a specialty drug.

Identification of specialty drugs

A method is disclosed that comprises administering insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I) to a mammal so as to sustain its biological activity in the mammal comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of IGF-I to the mammal to provide an exposure to IGF-I for a period of time that stimulates the maximum biological response in the mammal, then discontinuing said administration for a period of time equal to or less than the time period used for administration, and repeating this pattern of administration and discontinuance of administration for a period as long as necessary to achieve or maintain the desired biological response in the mammal.
