A miter saw includes a table on which a workpiece is placed, a saw assembly supporting a saw blade and having a motor for rotatably driving the saw blade, a housing pivotally supporting the saw assembly related to the table in such a manner that the saw assembly is at least laterally pivotable, and a bevel stop mechanism for selectively determining the lateral position of the saw assembly at any of a plurality of pivoted positions, the bevel stop mechanism comprising a movable rod and first, second and third fixed stop members. The table may be rotatably attached to a base.

A saw including a base, a trunnion pivotally attached to the base, a pivot arm pivotally attached to the trunnion, a saw assembly supported by the pivot arm, the saw assembly including a motor, a blade driven by the motor, an upper blade guard for covering an upper part of the blade, and at least one of a lower blade guard pivotally attached to the upper blade guard for covering a lower part of the blade and a rear blade guard attached to the upper blade guard, and a fence assembly comprising a fixed fence attached to the base, and a movable fence movably attached to the fixed fence, wherein the movable fence has a stepped portion for limiting lateral movement of the at least one of the lower blade guard and the rear blade guard.

Chop saw

A miter saw including a base, a table, a support housing connected to the table, first and second rails slidably connected to the support housing, a trunnion disposed on the first and second rails, and a saw assembly pivotally attached to the trunnion and movable between a front position and a rear position. The saw assembly includes a motor and a blade driven by the motor. The first and second rails may have different hardness. A first bearing is disposed underneath the first rail, whereas second and third bearings are disposed on the first rail between the support housing and the first rail.

Slide miter saw

A compound miter saw includes a unique table assembly which incorporates a table locking mechanism and a detent override mechanism. The lock mechanism incorporated into the table assembly is movable between two positions. The first position locks the table to the miter saw and the second position permits rotation of the table. The detent override mechanism is normally engaged such that it will releasably hold the table in one of a plurality of popular miter angles. The detent override mechanism allows the operator to disengage the detent system to avoid the holding of the table during its rotation.

The miter saw has a base, a table rotatably attached to the base, a support housing connected to the table, a rail slidably connected to the support housing, and a saw assembly pivotally attached to the rail and movable between a front position and a rear position. The saw assembly has a trunnion disposed on the rail, a pivot arm pivotally attached to the trunnion, an upper blade guard connected to the pivot arm, a motor attached to the upper blade guard, and a blade driven by the motor. The miter saw also has a carrying handle provided on the rail.

A miter saw includes a base, a table, a support housing connected to the table, at least one rail slidably connected to the support housing, a trunnion disposed on the at least one rail, a saw assembly pivotally attached to the trunnion and movable between a front position and a rear position, the saw assembly comprising a motor and a blade driven by the motor, and a return mechanism disposed on one of the trunnion and the support housing for returning the saw assembly to the rear position. The return mechanism may include a spool, a cable disposed on the spool, and a spring for biasing the spool to a first rotational position, the cable being connected to the other of the trunnion and the support housing.
