The present invention utilizes the main Java package (javax.jcr.binary) for saving the node property path and other relevant retrieving information within the serialized XML node files so that the intended large binary data remains inside the content repository while the corresponding node is being serialized. A data centric application which requires processing of the serialized XML node file can then deal with a much reduced sized XML file. This can improve the performance greatly in terms of memory usage and processing speed for XML processors such as DOM. During the consuming phase of the data centric applications, the binary data property is streamed from its source JCR repository into the target repository by looking up its original property path and other retrieving information.

Method and system for bit streaming for data centric applications

The present invention provides a method, system and program product for implementing a JSP container as a JSF component. Specifically, under the present invention, a bridging JSP is introduced between a JSP container and a JSF runtime. The JSF runtime 'renderer' will pass parameters needed for implementing/rendering the JSP container as a JSF component to the bridging JSP. Upon receipt, the JSP bridging will implement/render the JSP container as a JSF component using the parameters.

A system for providing document conversion services that uses XML (eXtensible Mark-up Language). A document type definition (DTD) defines tags and attributes for document conversion services, and includes a number of global variable definitions. Each 'convertor' tag defines a document conversion filter, using a 'filter' tag contained within it. Within each convertor tag, multiple input and output tags describe the capabilities of the convertor, and can be used to define the input document types and output document types for the associated filter. The filter tag can have a &#x201c;class&#x201d; attribute or the like, that may be used to provide a fully qualified class name for the filter. A &#x201c;remote&#x201d; tag defines whether the conversion for an associated filter is performed on an identified remote server computer system. The global variables are visible to all the convertor entities and may be used to activate logging of activities for various purposes.

Converting documents using a global property indicating whether event logging is performed on conversion filters

A method and system for efficiently updating container objects on remote systems. The method and system involve a server extension which determines whether the files within the container object have changed since the last time they were sent to the client. If they have changed, the server extension sends only the changed files with instructions on how to reconstruct the container object to a client extension. The client extension receives the changes and the instructions and reconstitutes the container object and transmits the container object to the client browser.
