An electrically conductive yarn () comprising a first yarn () and a second yarn (), the first yarn () comprises or consists out of a plurality of stainless steel fibers, the second yarn () comprises organic fibers wherein the first yarn () and the second yarn () are twisted or cabled together or the second yarn () is wrapped around the first yarn () such that the first yarn () is provided as a core yarn and such that the first yarn () provides part of the surface of the electrically conductive yarn ().

Electrically conductive yarn

An assembled yarn comprises a first yarn and a second yarn. The first yarn comprises a core yarn and a first wrap yarn. The core yarn comprises a spun yarn, wherein the spun yarn comprises a blend of fibers, wherein the blend of fibers comprises first electrically conductive fibers. The first wrap yarn comprises or consists out of one or a plurality of metallic filaments. The first wrap yarn is wrapped around the core yarn with at least 300 turns per meter. The second yarn comprises second electrically conductive fibers. The second yarn is wrapped around the first yarn; or the second yarn is ply-twisted with the first yarn thereby forming a plied yarn. The assembled yarn can be used in electromagnetic shielding fabrics.

Selective catalytic reduction tank with heating element

The invention describes a tank comprising a water or solvent based solution, dispersion or emulsion. The tank comprises an electrical resistance heating element immersed in the solution, dispersion or emulsion. The electrical heating element is provided in the tank with an electrical current. The electrical resistance heating elements comprises a textile fabric and at least one electrical heating wire. The electrical heating wire is fixed onto the textile fabric and the electrical heating wire comprises metal filaments or metal fibers.

A new heating cable is described. The heating cable is comprising between seven and two hundred metallic monofilaments of a first type which are acting as electrical conductors to generate heat. The metallic monofilaments of a first type are having a diameter ranging from 30 &#x3bc;m to 100 &#x3bc;m. The metallic monofilaments of a first type are having a substantially round cross section. The metallic monofilaments of a first type are comprising a steel layer with a chromium content of less than 10% by weight. The heating cable is having an electrical resistance ranging between 0.1 &#x3a9;/m and 20.0 &#x3a9;/m when measured at 20&#xb0; C.

A yarn () comprising two or more bundles (), each of said bundles comprising at least thirty metal fibres () is described. The bundles of the yarn are twisted with one another with a predetermined number of torsions per meter, said predetermined number of torsions permeter is smaller than 80 per meter and larger than 10 per meter. By doing so, an improved flexlife of the yarn can be obtained.
