Systems and methods presented herein provide for Content On Demand (COD) asset insertion. A COD asset insertion decision system (CODAID) is communicatively coupled to a content distributer to process information about COD content selections by Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs). An auction system is communicatively coupled to the CODAID and to a plurality of asset providers to process information about assets of the providers, to provide an auction for asset opportunities in the COD content selections, to receive bids for the asset opportunities, and to rank the auctioned assets according to bid. The CODAID further ranks the auctioned assets based in part on the COD content selection information and the asset information, identifies one or more of the further ranked assets for insertion into the COD content selection, and directs the content distributer to insert the identified one or more further ranked assets into the COD content selection.

Auctioning for content on demand asset insertion

One embodiment herein includes a Content On Demand (COD) asset insertion system that is operable to process a plurality of asset campaigns from a plurality of asset managers, to process information from a remote COD content distributor about COD content selections by a plurality of Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs), to identify and qualify assets of the asset campaigns for insertion in the COD content selections, and to direct the remote COD content distributor to insert the qualified assets into the COD content selections. The embodiment also includes an analytics processor that is operable to collect information about the assets inserted in the COD content selections, to modify the asset campaigns based on the collected information, and to present the modified asset campaigns to the COD asset insertion decision system. The COD asset insertion decision system is further operable to re-qualify the assets based on the modified asset campaigns.

Systems and methods presented herein provide for Content On Demand (COD) asset insertion. A COD asset insertion decision system (CODAID) is communicatively coupled to a content distributor to process information about a COD content selection by a Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). The CODAID also processes information about assets from asset providers. The CODAID ranks the assets based in part on the COD content selection information and the asset information, identifies one or more of the ranked assets for insertion into the COD content selection, and directs the content distributor to insert the identified one or more ranked assets into the COD content selection. The system also includes an auction system which identifies asset placement opportunities remaining in the COD content selection after the CODAID identifies the one or more ranked assets for insertion so as to provide an auction for the asset placement opportunities.

Systems and methods presented herein provide for asset recommendations based on asset effectiveness determinations. In one embodiment, an asset recommendation system operable to recommend insertion of assets into Video On Demand (VOD) content being selected by users through Customer Premises Equipment (CPEs). The system includes a recommendation engine communicatively coupled to an asset effectiveness evaluation module and to an asset decision system, wherein the recommendation engine is operable to accumulate demographic information associated with the determined effectiveness of the assets, to generate an anonymous user profile based on the accumulated demographic information and the associated effectiveness of the assets, and to recommend assets for insertion to the asset decision system based on the anonymous user profile. The anonymous user profile is used to identify other users with similar demographic information to retrieve and rank the assets for insertion to VOD content selections by the other users.
