A hydraulic system is adapted to provide at least one of a fluid flow at a variable fluid pressure or a fluid flow at a variable fluid displacement. A pressure sensor measures a fluid pressure. A controller is in communication with the engine and the pressure sensor. Wherein, the controller sends an engine speed signal to operate the engine in an open state and controls the fluid displacement or the fluid pressure of the hydraulic system to a first load condition. Further wherein, the controller detects an engine speed and a fluid pressure of the hydraulic system with the pressure sensor when the engine is in the open state and the hydraulic system is in the first load condition. Further wherein, the controller operably calculates a total engine torque as a function of the detected engine speed and fluid pressure when the hydraulic system is in the first load condition.

In-vehicle dynometer

A suspension assembly of a work machine being movable in a forward direction. The work machine includes a frame, an undercarriage supporting the frame and at least one ground-engaging track. The suspension assembly includes a torsion assembly having an axle, a torsion bar adapted to be fixedly coupled to the frame, and an axle arm coupled at one end to the axle and at an opposite end thereof to the torsion bar. A locking arm has a first end and a second end, where the first end is coupled to the axle arm. A hydraulic actuator is coupled to the second end of the locking arm. The hydraulic actuator is operably controlled between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration. In the unlocked configuration, the axle arm is pivotable relative to the frame, and in the locked configuration the axle arm is restricted from pivoting relative to the frame.

Compact track loader with lockable suspension system

The present disclosure provides a method of controlling a work implement of a machine. The machine includes a controller for controlling the implement, a sensor, a hydraulic pump for producing a fluid pressure, and a valve disposed in communication with the pump. The method includes selectively operating the machine according to a first operating mode, wherein in the first operating mode the hydraulic pump is operably controlled to produce a fluid pressure between a first pressure and a second pressure, the second pressure being greater than the first pressure. The method also includes sending a signal to the controller, the signal corresponding to a request for a fluid pressure greater than the second pressure. The method further includes transitioning from the first operating mode to a second operating mode and increasing the fluid pressure from the second pressure to a third pressure during the transition.

Method and system for controlling pump outlet pressure between different operating modes

A ground engaging vehicle including a frame, an engine, a controller, an accelerator, a position sensor and an interpreter. The engine is supported by the frame and the engine includes a throttle. The controller is in communication with the engine. The position sensor is associated with the accelerator. The position sensor generates a first signal corresponding to a position of the accelerator. The interpreter receives the first signal from the position sensor and generates a second signal dependent upon the first signal. The interpreter communicates the second signal to the controller.

Differential pressure control

A transmission shift system includes a first control path having a first electrically actuated valve system, and is configured to selectively direct hydraulic pressure to a first plurality of clutches for selecting only an output speed. A second control path independent of the first control path includes a second electrically actuated valve system, and is configured to selectively direct hydraulic pressure to a second plurality of clutches for selecting only an output direction. A shifter has a plurality of switches, each switch being in direct electrical connection with a corresponding of the first electrically actuated valve system and the second electrically actuated valve system for operating the first control path and the second control path controllerlessly, wherein the plurality of switches are operated manually using the shifter.
