The present disclosure is directed to a system that is configured to eject fluid vertically away from a thermal microfluidic die for use with scented oils or other fluids. The die is coupled to a rigid planar support board that separates the die from a reservoir of the fluid. The support board includes an opening that is lined with an inert liner that protects an interior surface of the support board from the fluid. The support board includes contact to an external power supply and contacts to the die on a first surface. The die is coupled to this first surface such that the second surface remains free of electrical connections.

Microfluidic delivery system with a die on a rigid substrate

One or more embodiments are directed to a microfluidic delivery system that dispenses a fluid in a direction that, at least in part, opposes gravity. In one embodiment, the microfluidic delivery system includes a microfluidic refill cartridge that is configured to be placed in a housing. The microfluidic refill cartridge includes at least one nozzle that faces upward or off to a side. The microfluidic refill cartridge includes a fluid transport member that allows fluid to travel upward from a fluid reservoir in opposition to gravity. A fluid path is located above the fluid transport member placing an end of the fluid transport member in fluid communication with a chamber and a nozzle. In response to the microfluidic delivery system receiving an electrical signal, an ejection element is configured to cause fluid in the chamber to be expelled through the nozzle. In response to the fluid being expelled from the nozzle, fluid may be pulled up through the fluid transport member and through the fluid path to refill the chamber.

An illustrative embodiment of a top surface mover generally comprises a vertical portion engaged with a horizontal portion and an engagement pad. The horizontal portion may include a mounting member to engage the top surface mover with a prime mover. The vertical portion and horizontal portion may be of variable length so that the position of the engagement pad with respect to the prime mover may be variable in at least two dimensions. The illustrative embodiment of a top surface mover is complimentary to an illustrative embodiment of a method of use wherein the top surface mover is configured to position top surface pieces accurately.

An atomization valve for use as an intake valve in an internal combustion engine that consists essentially of an elongated valve stem with two opposed ends, a valve head located at one of the two opposed ends and formed integrally with the valve stem in which the valve head having an outer rim and a tapered shoulder portion terminating adjacent the stem portion and the tapered shoulder portion having an upper surface bearing a plurality of grooves.

Atomization valve

A method and system for managing accounts that control access to resources of different providers. The account management system allows providers to use a common logon procedure through an account management server. The account management system dynamically creates accounts when users request to access resources. To access to a resource, a user provides their credentials (e.g., user identifier and password) through a certain location (e.g., client computer) and identifies the resource (e.g., application). The account management system determines whether an account has already been created for those credentials. If not, the account management system authenticates the user, creates a new account for those credentials (i.e., registration), and associates the identified resource with the account.

A rover for precisely determining the topography of a given parcel by contacting the surface of the parcel includes a GPS module and at least one sensor wheel. The GPS module may be mounted adjacent to and work in concert with the sensor wheel. The attitude and heading of the sensor wheel may be measured with another sensor, such as an AHRS, and the angle of the sensor wheel may be measured with a rotation position sensor. The various data points may be distilled to accurately measure the topography of a given parcel when the relative positions of the GPS module and the center of the sensor wheel are constant.

Rover

A method and system for mapping logical identifiers to physical identifiers is provided. In one embodiment, a logical routing system allows each application, or more generally entity (e.g., user of an application), to register its logical identifier to physical identifier mapping when the application starts executing on a computer. To send a message to an application identified by a logical identifier, a client program uses the registered mapping to identify the physical identifier of the computer. If an application later starts executing on a different computer, then the application can register a different mapping.

Application platform

Network management to establish and maintain the health and security of a computing network, such as a home network. A network management tool may identify the media access control (MAC) address for each device in the network, and allow a user to identify which devices are authorized to be a member of the network. If the network gateway device supports MAC address filtering, a user can then employ the network management tool to configure the router to exclude non-authorized devices from joining or remaining in the network based upon their MAC addresses. Further, the network management tool may allow a user to configure a wireless gateway device to stop broadcasting its service set identifier (SSID), change the SSID, or both, identify to the user when a wireless gateway device is using encryption, and, if so, what type of encryption. Still further, the tool may monitor the status of various software applications on devices in the network, and then alert a user if the status of any of the devices in the network requires attention. Further, the network management tool may provide recommendations to a user for correcting or changing the status of the monitored software applications.

Network management providing network health information and lockdown security

A technique is disclosed that allows different computers in a network to create an identifier that uniquely identifies the network. The technique allows the unique identifier to be consistently created over time, regardless of the particular make up of the computing devices in the network at any particular point time. In some implementation, a computer within the network hosts the identification creation tool. In order to create a unique identifier for the network, the tool identifies each network adapter used by the host computer. Using this information, the tool identifies a gateway device used by the network adapter or adapters, and then determines the physical network address of that gateway device. For example, if the network is an Ethernet network, the tool will determine the medial access control (MAC) address for the gateway device. The tool then creates a unique identifier for the network based upon the physical address. The unique network identifier can then be used to associate the billing a usage fee, such as a licensing fee, with the network rather than with an individual computer within the network. Alternately or additionally, the unique network identifier can be used to maintain and support the gateway device for the network.

Service licensing and maintenance for networks

An event-driven logic simulator provides for future evaluation events. Evaluation latencies are assigned to respective inputs of components based on component type. At least some of these latencies are positive and finite. When a signal status event specifies a change at an input associated with a positive latency, the function for the component is not evaluated at the present time. Instead, the evaluation is postponed to a future time equal to the present time plus the assigned latency. The evaluation is thus latent until the scheduled time becomes present. When multiple evaluation events are indicated for a common component output, a queue manager resolves the conflicts by discarding all but one of the evaluation events for that output. This approach minimizes redundant and superfluous evaluations during circuit simulation.

Circuit simulation system with wake-up latency

A digital computer having stored therein a program receives information on pin locations, logic equations and timing delays from a plurality of inputs to a plurality of outputs of a representation of an electronic integrated circuit. A first representation of the electronic integrated circuit is constructed by the program based upon the input information. The first representation has a plurality of nodes interconnecting a plurality of first electronic logic circuit elements, with the first electronic logic circuit elements in the primitives of a first simulator. The first representation is transformed into a second representation which is the logical equivalent of the first representation in accordance with the following rules: All directly serially connected first electronic logic circuit elements that can be collapsed are collapsed; and a first electronic logic circuit element which is not recognized as a primitive by a second simulator is transformed or expanded into equivalent logical elements which are primitives of the second simulator; provided that the second representation does not comprise directly serially connected primitives. The timing delay for each electronic logic circuit element in the second representation is determined. The electronic logic circuit elements in the second representation are converted into a third representation which are in primitives of the second simulator. The third representation is then generated in the syntax of the second simulator.
