A method for adding functionality to a network system is provided. The method is particularly applicable to network systems that utilize a limited number of data packets, e.g., Mobile Identification Numbers (MINs), to send instructions between the network operations center and the individual devices coupled to the network operations center. The added functionality is achieved by assigning more than one function or possible response to at least some of the secondary MINs and allowing secondary MINs to be combined.

Method for synthesizing mobile identification numbers

A game pad controller for use with a dedicated game system, personal computer, or other device is provided. The game pad controller includes a plurality of individual stepping or touch zones. The central axis of each zone is non-parallel with sufficient angle between adjacent zone axes to accommodate users of various sizes.

A hand held electronic game having sensors requiring the user to perform functions similar to those required during the activity simulated by the game. In a hand held electronic bowling game, both finger-movement sensors and game-moving sensors require the user to grip and swing the game housing much like swinging a bowling ball while finger-receiving sensors measure movement in the fingers and game housing-movement sensors measure the forcefulness and speed of the user's swing with the ball. The sensors include printed circuit boards and the game-moving sensor can utilize a LED and a photodiode along with a periodically transparent extension, which moves between the LED and the photodiode to determine the force of the swing by centrifugal force.
