An improved mechanism for controlling the pressure applied by the side walls of a square bale chamber comprising two independently positionable opposing pairs of bale tension rails, each pair perpendicularly arranged with respect to each other, whereby a uniform pressure may be exerted on all four sides of the bale in the bale chamber thereby resulting in improved consistency in bale length, density, shape, and appearance.

An improved mechanism for controlling the orientation of a plunger in a bale chamber of a small square baler that positions the lower plunger tail guide further from the working surface of the plunger than the upper plunger tail guide in order to better resist the rocking forces of the plunger in the bale chamber thereby improving the capability of the plunger guides to maintain proper plunger knife clearances and improving the durability of the bearing materials in the plunger guides.

A bale wagon is disclosed having rolling rack tines that pivot, by only a few degrees, so as to reduce the angle between said rolling rack tines and the bale wagons loading bed surface at several preset positions, allows improved control over the lean angle of the unloaded bales.

An improved bale wagon having at least one bumper member to position the rolling rack at the proper distance from the end of the front load rack of the bale wagon, and to dampen the impact between the front wall of the load rack and the front end of the rolling rack of the bale wagon when the rolling rack returns to the front of the load rack after release of its spring bias.

An optimized bale wagon cab that, while maintaining the previously used cab footprint, employs a layout with a wrap around front dash. The layout provides more efficient use of the space available and better placement of everyday controls such as the transmission shifter and bale stacking controls. The layout further addresses the customer desires for additional storage, cup holders, a writing surface and a place to keep papers and clipboards.
