A method for removing natural gas liquids from raw natural gas involving the steps of: passing untreated gas through a scrubber to remove liquid droplets and contaminants; delivering the untreated gas to a compressor, which pressurizes the untreated gas to create pressurized gas; passing the pressurized gas through a first aerial cooler to discharge heat to atmosphere; providing a chilled air exchanger and an air chilling unit; chilling air by passing the air through the air chilling unit to create chilled air; delivering the chilled air to the chilled air exchanger; passing the pressurized gas through the chilled air exchanger to cool the pressurized gas to a setpoint to create cooled pressurized gas; and delivering the cooled pressurized gas to a separator to remove liquids from the cooled pressurized gas, thereby creating processed gas. A system having the components listed above.

System and method for removing natural gas liquids from rich gas

A system and method for treating gas to fuel turbines by passing raw gas through an inlet pressure reducing valve to adjust the gas pressure and through a scrubber to capture liquids from the gas. Next, the gas is passed through a compressor to bring it to a pressure above that required by an inlet of a turbine and then to a post-compression aerial cooler that cools the gas to a temperature lower than a required dewpoint at fuel delivery pressure. Next, natural gas liquids are removed from the gas by passing it through a separator. A first portion of the cooled compressed gas is sent through a gas-to-gas heat exchanger, creating heated compressed gas, and a second portion of the cooled compressed gas passes through a backpressure valve. The heated compressed gas is blended with the second portion to create a fuel gas stream with a desired delivery temperature.

System and method for treating gas to fuel turbines

A system and method for treating associated gas in which a stream of raw gas is passed through safety valving, an inlet pressure control mechanism, and an inlet scrubber. Pressure/temperature data is transmitted to a control system via pressure and temperature transducers. The raw gas is sent to a gas compressor to generate pressurized gas, which is sent to an aerial cooler and a chiller heat exchanger, in which a chilling media contacts the pressurized gas. The chilled pressurized gas is sent to a vapor liquid separator to generate processed gas, which is routed through either a system backpressure valve or a pressure reducing recycle valve that directs the processed gas to the inlet scrubber. The processed gas that has passed through the system backpressure valve is delivered as fuel or routed through a backpressure regulating recycle valve that directs the processed gas to a system inlet pressure reducing valve.

System and method for treating associated gas

An integrated fiber interferometry interrogator for generating superimposed waves is disclosed. The system is optimized for efficiency and vibration attenuation. The system comprises an optical light source for generating a first signal, a first signal splitter which splits the first signal into a reference signal and an interrogation signal, optical modulators for modulating the signals, a fiber coupler connected to a fiber under test, an isolator, a circulator with a plurality of connections for directing the signals, a signal mixer for mixing the signals into superimposed waves, and photo diodes for receiving the superimposed waves.

Noise management for optical time delay interferometry

An embodiment of a system includes a light source, an optical assembly, and an electronic circuit. The light source (e.g., a laser) is configured to generate a source optical signal. The optical assembly is configured to direct the source optical signal into an end of an optical-fiber assembly that includes an optical fiber having a section wrapped multiple turns around a mandrel and including mandrel zones, and to receive, from the end of the optical-fiber assembly, a return optical signal. The electronic circuit is configured to select at least one mandrel zone in response to a component of the return optical signal from the at least one mandrel zone, and to detect an acoustic signal incident on the mandrel in response to the component of the return optical signal.

A modular fiber optic interferometry control system and method for extracting information from superimposed waves is disclosed. The system comprises a first module for converting a radio frequency input to a multiplexed binary data stream, a second module for correlating a pseudo random number (PRN) reference with a received PRN code modulated backscattered signal, and a third module comprising control logic. In some embodiments the system further comprises one or more of a fourth module for generating a power stream, a fifth module for event interrogation, and a sixth module for noise reduction.

Real-time fiber optic interferometry controller

A collapsible fluorescent tube fixture comprises a frame having a pair of spaced apart tube end supports each carrying a row of sockets, each socket being for receiving electrodes of one end of a fluorescent tube, and a scissors assembly connected between the supports for permitting the supports to move together into a storage position and to accommodate various length tubes and apart into a use position. Fluorescent tubes can be engaged between the sockets of the two supports with the supports in their use position. A boom has one end connected to the scissors assembly and an opposite end which carries an electrical ballast. The ballast is electrically connected to the sockets and may serve not only to electrically ballast the fluorescent tube but also to mechanically balance the weight of the frame. A pivot clamp connected intermediate the ends of the boom can be used to mount the boom on a tripod or other support structure.
