Disclosed are compounds of the Formula I and diastereomers, tautomers, solvates, metabolites, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein X, A, L and Y are as defined herein. Novel pyrrolidine compounds that are potent and selective inhibitors of PDE4, as well as methods of making the same, are disclosed.
