A system implements an emergent web space to bind a host computer to one or more client computers. A host computer generates data aspects of characteristically random data to create emergent web spaces in which website resources can be rendered by one or more client computers intersecting the same emergent web spaces. A binding is established between the host computer and one or more client computers when a block of true random data generated by the host computer is provided to the one or more client computers. A unique block of true random data together with the remote storage of data aspects constitutes a zone. A software application executing on the one or more client computers is configured to retrieve data aspects from within the same zone, and further configured to resolve and then render website resources.

Emergent web spaces and system

Data file storage systems and methods that bind a local portable data storage device to remote data storage space with an emergent data file storage system. Data files and directory nodes are associated with data aspect pairs, each comprised of a series of interdependent blocks of characteristically high-entropy data. Blocks of data comprising a remote data aspect are transferred to remote data aspect storage locations. A single block of data comprising a local data aspect is transferred separately to the local portable data storage device. Neither a local data aspect nor a remote data aspect contains information about the corresponding data file or directory node.

Binding a local data storage device to remote data storage

Storing a file on a virtual file system associated with a portable media drive. The virtual file system includes the portable media drive and allocated storage of a plurality of storage servers. The file is partitioned into a local portion and at least one remote portion. The local portion is stored on the portable media drive and the remote portions are transferred to a process server. The process server treats each portion as an independent file and stores it to an appropriate storage server without reference to the original file, to other portions, or to the user. For a virtually compressed file, the storage size of the file on the virtual file system is calculated as a function of the storage size of the local portion on the portable media drive.

Distributed virtual storage of portable media files

Storing and/or virtually compressing a file on a virtual file system associated with a portable media drive. The virtual file system includes the portable media drive and allocated storage of a storage server. The file partitioned into a local portion and at least one remote portion. The local portion is stored on the portable media drive and the remote portions are transferred to the storage server. For a virtually compressed file, the storage size of the file on the virtual file system is calculated as a function of the storage size of the local portion on the portable media drive.

Virtual storage of portable media files

The invention relates to a telephone system and method for use by a residential user. A residential telephone system is electrically coupled to an external telephone service facility and electrically coupled to a user telephone. The system comprises a telephone service facility interface for receiving an incoming call signal from the external telephone service facility and a user telephone interface for transmitting the incoming call signal to the user telephone and for receiving an administrative signal from the user telephone. The system also comprises a memory and a messaging module for storing in the memory a calling party message received from a calling party in the incoming call signal. The system further comprises a connection module responsive to the administrative signal received from the user telephone via the user telephone interface for receiving an incoming call signal and processing the incoming call signal to either connect the incoming call signal to the messaging module or to transmit the incoming call signal to the user telephone via the user telephone interface. The invention also relates to a system for remotely administering a residential telephone system. The invention further relates a system and method for call management of incoming calls by a residential telephone system.

Residential telephone system and method

A system for applying liquid to solid particles is provided including a constant volume apparatus having a chamber and an aperture arranged to deliver the particles in a substantially constant volume stream to a moving surface such as a conveyor belt. A mass flow-measuring device having a receiving end positioned adjacent the moving surface whereby the constant volume stream flows through the mass flow-measuring device and engages a curved sliding surface of a discharge pan, the curvature discharging the particles from the mass flow-measuring device in the stream at an angle from vertical. A liquid application chamber is positioned below the pan and has an internal passageway with an inlet positioned to receive the stream of particles flowing from the mass flow-measuring device. The passageway is defined by at least one curved wall. The curved wall has an upper portion positioned at an angle approximately identical to the discharge angle of the pan to receive the stream of particles in sliding fashion. The curved wall continuously curves downwardly to vertical and continues its curvature beyond vertical to an exit angle from which the particles exit in the stream. At least one liquid dispensing apparatus is positioned to dispense liquid onto the stream of particles as the stream moves through the passageway.

Spray chamber and system and method of spray coating solid particles

A call screening device is disclosed for use with a telephone system including one or more telephones connected to outside telephone service in order to screen incoming call signals directed to the telephone system and for providing, in response to a preselected security code signal, the incoming call signals to the telephones. The call screening device includes circuitry for storing the preselected security code signal and for receiving the incoming call signal and an incoming code signal from the outside telephone service. Circuitry is provided for comparing the incoming code signal with the preselected security code signal and for providing the call signal to one or more telephones when the comparing circuitry determines the incoming code signal corresponds to the preselected security code signal. The device may be activated or deactivated in response to a preselected control signal from any of the telephones. The device also includes circuitry for providing a ringing signal to each of the telephones during a period beginning with determination by the comparator circuitry that the incoming code signal received by the receiver circuitry corresponds to the preselected security code signal and ending with termination of the incoming call signal or answering of any one of the telephones, whichever occurs first.
