A quick connector assembly coupling a fluid tube to a receptacle body includes a socket portion and a wall bordering a socket opening. A pair of latch openings extend through the wall into the socket opening. A bracket installed on the wall includes a pair of spring latches that reach through a respective one of the pair of latch openings into the socket opening. A fluid tube having a raised upset is placed through the socket opening causing the upset to be captured by each spring latch. A verifier having fixing fingers and a pair of verifier arms is installed through respective recesses in the wall and into the socket opening that causes each verifier arm to travel along the upset to rest below a respective spring latch and the fixing fingers to capture the upset.

Quick connector with verifier

A quick connector for making a verifiable connection with a tube includes a connector housing having a socket portion and a pair of channels extending into the socket portion from the exterior of the connector housing. A verifier has a pair of resilient legs each including a releasing member extending through a respective channel into the interior of the socket portion. A retainer having claws is held by spring bridging portions within an opening of the socket portion. An upset formed on an exterior surface of the tube is installed into the opening of the socket portion and captured by the retainer claws to lock the tube to the connector housing and deform each resilient leg so as to move and position each releasing member in alignment with its respective channel allowing extraction of the verifier from the connector housing.

A quick connector includes a coupler fluidically connected by a passage to a first fluid tube. A retainer housing in axial alignment with the passage is installed on the coupler and a movable retainer is installed in the retainer housing in a first position. A second fluid tube having a raised bead formed proximate an end portion of the second fluid tube is permitted to be installed into the retainer housing cavity by the retainer when the retainer is in the first position. Moving the retainer to a second position latches the bead to the retainer housing retaining the second fluid tube to the quick connector.

A quick connector and connector body comprises a coupler portion having a fluid passage connected to a first fluid tube. A valve mounted within the fluid passage is movable between a closed and an open position. A receptacle portion coupled to the coupler portion includes a socket cavity adapted to receive a second fluid tube within the socket cavity that causes the valve to move into the open position allowing fluid to flow through the fluid passage from the first fluid tube to the second fluid tube.

A connector and a process for coupling a tube to another device is disclosed. The connector comprises a receptacle for receiving a first tube. The receptacle includes a socket and a modular head mated to said socket in one of a plurality of relative orientations. The modular head comprises an indexing member. A retention clip embraces the receptacle and has a leg positioned in a slot in the receptacle.

A connector and process for coupling a tube and the resulting assembly is disclosed. A receptacle includes pilot in a mounted position. The pilot is slidable from a mounting position to a final position while the pilot urges legs of a retention clip into a spread condition during a transition between the mounting position and the final position. In the final position, the pilot permits legs of the retention clip to retract to a relaxed condition and an indicator piece is visible.

A connector and process for coupling a tube and the resulting assembly is disclosed. A receptacle includes a pilot in a mounting position. The pilot including an indicator piece and guide members each located in a respective channel on the receptacle and slidable within the channels from the mounting position to a final position. A retention clip having legs is urged into a spread condition during a transition between the mounting position and the final position wherein in the final position the legs of the retention clip retract to a relaxed condition, the indicator piece becomes visible on the receptacle and the first and second guide members latch the pilot to the receptacle.
