The disclosure relates to novel components of a gyratory crusher () which aim to promote self-alignment of a mainshaft assembly () upon introduction of the mainshaft assembly () into the gyratory crusher () by lowering the mainshaft assembly () from above the gyratory crusher () into the gyratory crusher (). The novel components may include a dust bonnet () having a plurality of guides (), an end plate () having a lower alignment chamfer (), and/or a counterweight () having an alignment chamfer (). Each of the novel components may be configured to bias a lower mainshaft () of the mainshaft assembly () of the gyratory crusher () into concentric alignment with a bore () of the eccentric () or eccentric liner ().
