Methods and systems for managing a call in real-time are disclosed. Methods and systems consistent with the present invention manage a call in real-time based on input from a user. A service center receives information pertaining to a call to the user from a service control point and sends a notification of the call to a device associated with the user. The service center receives a response to the notification from the user. Thereafter, the service center instructs the service control point to connect the call based on the response.

Methods and systems for call management with user intervention

Disclosed is a method and system for routing telephone calls within a household. In the disclosed home call routing system, a head of the household or other person with administrative authority within the home can control the routing of telephone calls by establishing and modifying call system parameters such as call priorities, traffic times, caller identities, routing rules, etc. through a home computer.

Methods and systems are described for remote establishment of a call from a first device to a second device. In said methods and systems the information is retrieved from the first device regarding the second device along with information associating the user with a device associated with the user. The call is then transferred to a switch associated with the user's device. The switch then forwards the call to the second device.

Methods and systems for remote cell establishment

The present invention provides a method for determining the carrier that should be used for a particular AIN call. The following information is derived for each call: the originating calling party number, the terminating called party number, the originating LATA, the terminating LATA. Using these components, pre-defined tables are accessed that contain local calling plan information. These tables contain rate center and dial plan information that provides the local calling scope that is available to the originator of the call. Based on the information contained in the tables, the appropriate type of carrier for the call is selected and the call is routed using this carrier.

Method and apparatus for determining the carrier used for an AIN call

A method and apparatus for providing customers with telecommunications intelligence in the form of call management reports. When a call is made to a subscriber of the service provided herein, a call detail record is created using the Telephone Company's Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN). Each call that is made to the customer is processed using AIN service logic programs (SLPs). The SLP is invoked by an AIN trigger that is applied to the track telephone number(s) of the customers that subscribe to this service. For each inbound call, the SLP records several pieces of identifying information in a call detail record. Periodically, the AIN application accumulates the call detail records for all customers subscribing to the service. The information is processed to retrieve the desired data from the call detail records, and the data retrieved is used to develop call management reports for each subscriber of the service. Then the call management reports are sent to the customer using the preferred method of transmitting this information. A third party provider that may not have the infrastructure to collect call detail records may contract with a Telephone Company that is capable of collecting call detail records through its AIN to provide these detail records so that intelligence data may be provided to the customers of the third party provider. The Telephone Company then bills the first company for the collection of the call detail records. The call detail records that are collected may be sent to a data processing company for processing of the records.

Method and apparatus for providing subscribers with telecommunications intelligence

Methods and systems are provided for establishing calls to wireless directory numbers (DNs) in a telecommunications network. When a call is directed to a wireless DN, a first node in the network identifies a signaling node associated with the wireless DN and sends the identified signaling node a request for a route to the wireless DN. If the wireless device associated with wireless DN is outside of its home area and is served by a visited node in the network, the signaling node determines a route that excludes the home node associated with the wireless DN and returns a temporary location directory number (TLDN) to the first node. Using the TLDN, the first node then establishes a connection to the visited node.

Method and system for routing calls to wireless directory numbers in a network

A splashboard assembly for mounting upon a countertop and against a vertical wall. The assembly includes a splashboard and a clip. The clip has an upper and lower portions, and can couple the splashboard to the countertop adjacent said vertical wall. The lower portion has a fastening arrangement for fastening the lower portion to the countertop. The upper portion has support devices for supporting the splashboard. The clip has a section for biasing the splashboard against said vertical wall with respect to said countertop. One, or more, clips are first attached to the countertop edge. When the countertop is in place, the splashboard is snapped onto the clips. A decorative end cap may also be provided to cover any exposed end of the splashboard.
