A magnetic electrical latch assembly for sensing an electrical contact has a housing for supporting a magnetic electrical contact. The housing has an annular cavity and a cylinder disposed within the cavity. A magnetic electrical contact is attached at one end to the cylinder. The cylinder is movable axially within the cavity. The magnetic electrical contact has an electrical connection to a first conductive wire. The magnetic electrical contact is arranged to couple with an opposing contact pad to create an electrical connection between an external conductor path and the first conductive wire. Also, a magnetic electrical contact sensor system has a hollow enclosure with a detachable access panel. A meandering conductor path cover a portion of the access panel. The conductor path terminates on a contact pad. A magnetic electrical latch assembly has a housing for supporting the magnetic electrical contact within the enclosure.

Magnetic electrical contact sensor

A system or method for a magnetic self-aligning coupling device for a fiber optic cable. The device includes a first end coupling comprising a first magnet and a second magnet. Both magnets include a mating surface and an annular ring defining an axial aperture. The aperture receives a distal end of a segment of fiber optic cable in a tight fit. The fiber optic cable has an exterior sleeve and a fiber core. The fiber core of the first segment and the second segment of the fiber optic cable are axially aligned by magnetic force in the first and second apertures to create a continuous fiber optic path. A method for detecting a security breach of a door using the self-aligning couplings is also described.

Magnetic self-mating fiber optic connector and fiber optic switch sensor

An inductive circuit sensor system and method for monitoring an electromagnetic signal path through a circuit is shown. A protected element or door is movably positionable adjacent to the stationary element or frame in a monitored position. A conductive sensor pattern element is connected to a pair of inductive coils. The pattern element is a conductive wire traversing a predetermined cross-section of the door. The frame has a transmitting coil in communication with a microcontroller. The transmitting coil is coupled with the first coil and a receiving coil is coupled with the second coil. The transmitting coil receives a signal from the microcontroller and couples the signal to the pattern element. The signal is in communication with a receiving port on the microcontroller. The microcontroller is programmed to compare the signal from the transmit port with the signal at the receiving port.

Inductive circuit sensor system and method

A tamper-resistant threaded fastener including a circular head having a slot formed in the head transverse to the longitudinal axis, the slot having an enlarged region intermediate an apex and a base of the slot. A cap member includes a head having a drive feature formed therein, the head extending to a first shank portion, extending to an enlarged second shank portion, extending to a foot. The cap member is insertable in the slot only from a direction transverse to the longitudinal axis. During rotational installation of the fastener and cap member in a threaded counterbored opening for securing a barrier for protecting an asset, the foot shears inside the slot at a predetermined rotational drive force, the cap member being rotatable in the opening and protectively covering the fastener head.

Tamper-resistant fastener

An ultrasonic testing device having a variable fluid column height is disclosed. An operator is able to adjust the fluid column height in real time during an inspection to to produce optimum ultrasonic focus and separate extraneous, unwanted UT signals from those stemming from the area of interest.
