An inductive circuit sensor system and method for monitoring an electromagnetic signal path through a circuit is shown. A protected element or door is movably positionable adjacent to the stationary element or frame in a monitored position. A conductive sensor pattern element is connected to a pair of inductive coils. The pattern element is a conductive wire traversing a predetermined cross-section of the door. The frame has a transmitting coil in communication with a microcontroller. The transmitting coil is coupled with the first coil and a receiving coil is coupled with the second coil. The transmitting coil receives a signal from the microcontroller and couples the signal to the pattern element. The signal is in communication with a receiving port on the microcontroller. The microcontroller is programmed to compare the signal from the transmit port with the signal at the receiving port.

Inductive circuit sensor system and method

A photonic-cable assembly includes a power source cable connector ('PSCC') coupled to a power receive cable connector ('PRCC') via a fiber cable. The PSCC electrically connects to a first electronic device and houses a photonic power source and an optical data transmitter. The fiber cable includes an optical transmit data path coupled to the optical data transmitter, an optical power path coupled to the photonic power source, and an optical feedback path coupled to provide feedback control to the photonic power source. The PRCC electrically connects to a second electronic device and houses an optical data receiver coupled to the optical transmit data path, a feedback controller coupled to the optical feedback path to control the photonic power source, and a photonic power converter coupled to the optical power path to convert photonic energy received over the optical power path to electrical energy to power components of the PRCC.

Photonic-powered cable assembly

A portable modular device for the purpose of sensing key movement of a piano or keyboard, processing key movement information, and communicating at least key-note ON/OFF and key-note velocity information. A portion of the modular device, the key sensor strip, inserts between the keys and fallboard and mounts atop a piano or keyboard.

Insertable piano/keyboard strip for sensing key movement

A portable modular apparatus that simply and unobtrusively mounts on the top of a piano or keyboard, and detects key movement. The rectangular back side of the modular apparatus serves to effectively mount the apparatus. The self-mounting portable apparatus has associated with each key an optical coupler. The self-mounting portable apparatus has associated with each black key a thin, reflective, flexible insert that positions itself between its respective key and optical coupler when the portable apparatus is mounted. The reflective insert then moves in relation to the movement of its respective key.

Insertable musical keyboard device with moving inserts to detect key movement

A portable modular music recording device which simply and unobtrusively attaches to a keyboard instrument for purposes of recording live musical performances; and an efficient music microcomputing system in which the captured musical data is digitized and further analyzed to determine note and note expression information when a key has been played. In the modular keyboard device, key and key expression data is captured by means of reflective couplers mounted in the keyboard device, and the information is transmitted to the processing unit. Microcomputer instructions refine the data to a format suitable for serial transmission via a computer-compatible link for ultimate scoring and recording.

Low profile keyboard device and system for recording and scoring music

A valve stem and lock include a housing surrounding a valve stem, a solenoid affixed to an interior wall of the housing, an armature affixed to the valve stem and a locking device for coupling the armature to the housing body. When the solenoid is energized, the solenoid moves away from the housing body, permitting rotation of the valve stem.
