Connector assembly including a board connector configured to be mounted to a circuit board. The board connector includes a connector housing having a reception slot. The reception slot opens in a vertical direction that is parallel to an elevation axis. The elevation axis is perpendicular to the circuit board when the board connector is mounted thereto. The board connector also includes electrical contacts that are positioned along the reception slot. The electrical contacts are configured to engage corresponding contacts of a module card. The connector assembly also includes a coupling mechanism attached to the board connector. The coupling mechanism includes a support frame that extends away from the board connector along the elevation axis. The coupling mechanism also includes a latch body that is attached to the support frame and faces the reception slot to define a module-receiving space therebetween that is configured to receive the module card.

An information handling system mezzanine circuit board disposed in a parallel configuration over a motherboard is selectively coupled and de-coupled at the motherboard with a retraction and latching device that translates retraction force applied at an accessible actuation portion to push upward from below the mezzanine circuit board. A retraction portion of the retraction and latching device provides an upward force at the bottom surface of the mezzanine circuit board to separate the mezzanine circuit board connector from the motherboard connector so that an end user can lift the mezzanine circuit board away from the motherboard.

A cam lock apparatus includes a carrier having a bezel with a locking cam handle. The locking cam handle is pivotally attached to the bezel by a pivot pin. A resilient member is compressed between the pivot pin and the locking cam handle, whereby the first end of the locking cam handle is biased to move relative to the bezel and the carrier.

A fan bay and fan coupling apparatus include a chassis including a plurality of fan bay locating features and a plurality of fan connectors. A fan bay includes a plurality of chassis locating features and defines a plurality of fan assembly housings, wherein the chassis locating features on the fan bay are engageable with the fan bay locating features on the chassis. A plurality of fan assemblies each include a fan, wherein a fan assembly is located in each of the fan assembly housings, whereby the engagement of the chassis locating features on the fan bay with the fan bay locating features on the chassis allows the alignment and coupling of the plurality of fan assemblies with respective fan connectors on the chassis.
