This relates to a mailing envelope which may be utilized by one of the express mail services. The envelope is distinguished over existing envelopes by being provided with two closure flaps which permit the envelope to be utilized twice and possibly as a return envelope. In the first usage, the first closure flap is folded to an out of the way position beneath the second closure flap and becomes usable only after the second closure flap has been removed. The envelope also includes a removable label panel to which the second closure flap is initially bonded and is removed with the second closure flap when the envelope is first opened so as to permit the use of the second closure flap in the reclosing of the envelope and also to provide new surface to which mailing instructions, etc. may be applied.

Double use express mail envelope

A clamshell type carton bottom having integrally connected thereto a domed top with upper portions of side and front panels of the carton bottom defining seats on which there are seated seat members carried by side and front panels of the top and reversely turned so as to slope upwardly and outwardly while the side and front panels slope downwardly and outwardly. Each side panel of the bottom adjacent the front panel of the bottom is provided with a cut line which defines stop means so as to limit the movement of the top into the bottom when the carton is being closed. Further, the bottom front panel is provided with a locking flap which carries a locking tab which engages over the front seat member of the top to lock the top in place relative to the bottom.

Clamshell style carton

A tray particularly useful by fast food establishments and the like for serving various products. The tray is formed from a tube formed in a flat state for storage and shipment and being readily erectible. A central portion of the top of such tube is provided with suitable product receiving openings which may open into a receptacle or which receive drink cups. At one or more ends of the tray, there is a compartment which is defined by an end of the initial tube which is pivoted from a longitudinal position to an upstanding position. The tray may have one or more internal stiffeners to prevent the collapse thereof when in tube form and stacked. Numerous embodiments are envisioned although only a limited number of alternatives is specifically disclosed.

Tube construction for food and beverage tray

A basket carrier of the type including a base having a plurality of handles projecting upwardly therefrom, the handles also functioning as partitions so as to divide the base into a plurality of individual spaces for receiving cups, bottles and the like. The same basic basket carrier can be formed from two different blanks. It has been found that by providing two different blanks, a full nesting of the blanks may be obtained so that the blanks may be formed from a web with substantially no loss, thereby reducing the amount of paperboard required to form the blanks. The resultant carriers differ primarily in that one carrier includes one double handle and two single handle arrangements and the other carrier has two double handle arrangements. The carriers differ also in the manner in which the various portions are connected together by way of different arrangements of glue flaps.

Basket carrier and internesting blanks therefor

A vending and reclosure device for powder and granular products. The device is formed of two container panels disposed in overlying relation with respect to each other with an inner one of the two panels having dispensing openings therethrough and the outer one of the panels having formed therein a closure flap which is normally initially free at one end and is connected to the outer panel along sides thereof by way of lines of weakening having projecting curved intermediate portions which, when ruptured permit the closure flap to be pivoted at a hinged end thereof out of the plane of the outer panel and away from overlying relation with respect to the dispensing openings in the inner panel. The inner panel is provided with cut lines generally aligned with the lines of weakness. When the closure flap is removed the lines of weakness define curved projections along the opposite sides thereof and the cut lines in the inner panel define shoulders behind which the projections can lock.

Vending and reclosure device for powder and granular products

A carrier for cups. The carrier is formed from a flat blank to have a flat folded state from which it may be readily erected by pressing together on opposite ends. In addition to a base having a bottom, the carrier has an upstanding combined separator and handle. As a result, the upper configuration of the blank is one wherein like blanks in inverted relation and longitudinally shifted may be nested. The nesting may either be a positive nest where there is waste at one end of each of two blanks or two adjacent blanks may be longitudinally and transversely shifted relative to one another to provide a major nesting while having a minimum amount of waste material between two opposed blanks. With this arrangement, the blanks may be formed endlessly in end-to-end relation along an elongated web.

The inner panel is provided with cut lines generally aligned with the lines of weakness. When the closure flap is removed the lines of weakness define pointed projections along the opposite sides thereof and the cut lines in the inner panel define shoulders behind which the projections can lock.
