A lid consisting of fibrous material, in particular of fibrous material containing cellulose fibers, for at least partly covering an opening of a container is provided. The lid comprises a domed portion which is configured to at least partly cover the container opening and an attachment portion which externally surrounds the domed portion at least in portions. The lid attachment portion is configured to attach the lid to a counter attachment portion in the region of the opening of the container, preferably on an opening edge delimiting the container opening of the container. The lid can be formed at least in portions, preferably completely, from a uniform material with respect to its constituents, and the lid can have material characteristics which differ in different regions within a portion of a uniform material composition.

Beverage container lid with a container side and a consumer side, wherein the lid has a fastening portion running about a lid axis in a circumferential direction, which fastening portion defines a reference plane, wherein the lid has a drinking opening, wherein the lid has a lid face inclined with respect to the reference plane in such a way that, at least in a diametric strip, which contains the drinking opening, of the lid face, a nose tip receiving region of the lid face diametrically opposing the drinking opening is set back axially with respect to the drinking opening in the direction of the container side, the drinking opening and a tab being dimensioned and arranged in such a way that the nose tip region, even when the drinking opening is opened in accordance with intended use, remains uncovered by the tab on the consumer side.

A lid for closing a container is provided. The lid may be deep-drawn from a plastics material film or produced in an injection-molding method. The lid includes a substantially downwardly directed edge flange for engaging over a thickening that encircles the container's upper edge. The edge flange can be formed to be inclined outwardly at least slightly and is provided with a plurality of inwardly directed projections capable of engaging under the thickening of the container. The lid also comprises a plurality of depressions. The depressions have a depth that is greater towards an interior lid area than towards the edge flange. The depressions have width that is greater towards the interior lid area than towards the edge flange.

The present invention relates to a lid for a container holding a flowable substance which comprises a mounting portion to be attached to the container and an opening to remove the flowable substance from the container, whereas the opening is opened and closed by means of a slider which is connected to the lid and rotates around a vertical axis.
