The invention provides compositions and methods for identifying autism and autism spectrum disorders in humans. The invention also includes compositions and methods for identifying unique blood-based gene expression profiles in children with regressive autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and ileocolitis.

Identification of unique blood-based gene expression profiles in children with regressive autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and ileocolitis

A riser disconnect/reconnect system having a disconnection package (RDP) and a modified lower marine riser package (LMRP) are provided for quick disconnection of the marine drilling riser (MDR) from the LMRP to facilitate access to the LMRP or BOP stack. The RDP includes a flex joint and a hydraulically-actuated release connector (RC) with a connecting mandrel that engages a modified LMRP. In an emergency, the RDP is disconnected from the LMRP allowing access to the BOP stack for intervention. The RDP may be disconnected from the LMRP for recovery of the LMRP or BOP stack to the surface for repair or maintenance without recovering the MDR. The RC joins the flex joint to the uppermost annular blowout preventer in the LMRP. The release connector can be used in a standard or inverted position. Also provided are structural cages with complementary stab plates allowing access to various bypass ports and controls.

Riser disconnect package for lower marine riser package, and annular-release flex-joint assemblies

A flexible heating device includes a pouch defined in-part by a flexible heating textile that defines a cavity. The size of the cavity defined by the pouch is adjustable to snugly receive objects, e.g., sex toys, of different sizes. In embodiments, the pouch supports closing structure to facilitate adjustment of the size of the cavity to accommodate different size objects. In embodiments, the flexible heating textile includes an adapter that receives power from a power source such as a battery or wall plug to heat the flexible heating textile.

Flexible heating device

There is provided a breech lock coupling for coupling riser sections together. The breech lock coupling may be used non-pre-loaded or pre-loaded according to the user's preferences. In addition, the breech lock coupling may be disassembled for inspection and maintenance and reassembled. A locking ring secures two coupling components together. The coupling components may be attached to opposite ends of the riser sections, such as via welding. The locking ring may be pre-attached to the first coupling component for easy storage and fast assembly. Assembly of the riser may be accomplished by inserting the second coupling component into the locking ring and the first coupling component, then rotating the locking ring with respect to the second component. Furthermore, the coupling may be pre-loaded by tightening fasteners on the locking ring to provide a more stable coupling. Unlike with traditional riser couplings, the pre-load fasteners may be tightened via hand-held tools.

Breech lock coupling

A riser assembly is disclosed comprising: a main tube; two flanges coupled to the main tube, each flange comprising: a central lumen configured to be in fluid communication with the main tube; at least one choke/kill hole configured to receive a choke/kill line; at least one booster hole configured to receive a booster line; and a plurality of bolt holes, each bolt hole comprising a tapered portion and a dowel slot, where each bolt hole is configured to receive a nut, a bolt, and a dowel. In certain embodiments, riser strings comprising at least two riser assemblies coupled to each other are disclosed.

A seal sub system for the connection of fluid lines, including first and second fluid lines, each including a terminal end with an inner diameter. A seal sub includes an inner channel and first and second pin ends, one pin end removably insertable in the fluid line terminal end with the other pin end extending from the fluid line terminal end. A seal forms a seal between the seal sub and the inner diameter of the first fluid line terminal end. The extending pin end is configured to be inserted into the terminal end of the second fluid line to establish a sealed fluid connection between the first and second fluid lines.

Seal sub system

A riser disconnect/reconnect system including a disconnection package (RDP) and a modified lower marine riser package (LMRP) are provided for quick disconnection of the marine drilling riser (MDR) from the LMRP. The RDP includes a flex joint and a release connector (RC) with a mandrel that engages a modified LMRP. In an emergency event, the RDP is disconnected from the LMRP allowing access to the BOP stack for emergency intervention. In routine drilling operations, the RDP is disconnected from the LMRP facilitating the recovery of the LMRP or BOP stack to the surface for repair or maintenance without recovering the MDR. The RC joins the flex joint to the uppermost annular blowout preventer in the LMRP. The RC is configured for use in a standard or inverted position. Also provided is a mechanical locking connector, a resident ROV and sonar technology and methods of using same with the RDP.

A riser system for coupling a surface platform to a wellhead. The riser system includes a main tube, flanges and one or more tie rods. The main tube forms an annulus for fluid flow between the wellhead and the platform. A flange extends radially from each end of the main tube. The tie rods are coupled to and extend between the flanges.

Riser system

An extracorporeal pumping method includes receiving an inlet fluid into a compressible-expandable bladder sealably mounted within a housing and moving an actuating member mounted within a fluid chamber of a hydraulic actuating sub-assembly. A pressure transmissive fluid is displaced from the fluid chamber into the housing. The method includes compressing a volume of the bladder in the housing using the transmissive fluid displaced into the housing, the compressed bladder ejecting the inlet fluid from the bladder to provide an outlet fluid under pulsatile pressure. The actuating member is moved within the fluid chamber and the displaced transmissive fluid is returned from the housing into the fluid chamber. The method includes expanding the compressed bladder in the housing and receiving additional inlet fluid into the bladder. The movement of the actuating member is controlled such that the outlet fluid exhibits a predetermined pulse rate, stroke volume, and upstroke rise time.

Extracorporeal pumping methods

A pulsatile blood circulating pump system for use in cardiopulmonary bypass, ventricular assist (LVAD, RVAD, BiVAD), ECMO, organ preservation, fetal cardiac bypass, cancer treatment, and areas of circulation research, which is controlled to produce blood flow that approximates physiological blood flow. The pump system includes a pulsating mechanism having a housing defining a chamber with a compressible-expandable bladder sealably mounted. A hydraulic actuator having a pressure imparting member that acts upon pressure transmissive fluid contained within the actuator chamber to generate a pulsatile pressure on the transmissive fluid, which results in pulsatile pressure being exerted on bladder to controllably vary the volume thereof. Additionally, the system includes a compact, motor that is associated with the hydraulic actuator for moving the pressure imparting member within the fluid chamber and further includes a fully programmable motion controller that controls the motor. The system includes a programmable touch-screen component to control the motion controller.

Physiologic pulsatile pump

A pulsatile blood circulating pump system that is adapted for use in cardiopulmonary bypass, ventricular assist (LVAD, RVAD, BiVAD), ECMO, organ preservation, fetal cardiac bypass, cancer treatment, and various areas of circulation research, which can be controlled in such a way as to produce a desired blood flow that closely approximates the physiological blood flow of the patient. The pump system includes a pulsating mechanism having a housing defining a chamber within which a compressible-expandable bladder is sealably mounted. The system further includes a hydraulic actuator having a pressure imparting member that acts upon a pressure transmissive fluid contained within the actuator chamber in a manner to generate a pulsatile pressure on the transmissive fluid, which, in turn, results in a pulsatile pressure being exerted on bladder in a manner to controllably vary the volume thereof. Additionally, the system includes a compact, highly reliable voice-coil motor that is operably associated with the hydraulic actuator for controllably moving the pressure imparting member within the fluid chamber and further includes a fully programmable motion controller that controls the voice-coil motor. Further, the system includes a programmable touch-screen component that functions to control the motion controller.

A blowout preventer stack landing assist tool and landing tool adapter joint for use with a standard telescoping joint used in oil and gas drilling operations that allows lifting and moving of the riser string and blowout preventer stack without requiring disconnection of the telescoping joint, tensioning lines and associated piping from the riser string connection.
