Methods, apparatuses and systems are described for implanting a plurality of fiducial markers into a tissue. Systems include a needle, a stylet sized to slide within a lumen of the needle, and a multi-stop stylet spacer having stopping features configured to engage with the stylet to stop the distal end of the stylet at one or more predetermined distances from the distal end of the needle. Methods for implanting a plurality of fiducial markers into a tissue are described and include inserting a needle preloaded with fiducial markers into a tissue, adjusting a multi-stop stylet spacer from a safety position to a first deployment position, deploying a first fiducial marker into the tissue, adjusting the stylet spacer from the first deployment position to a second deployment position, and deploying a second fiducial marker into the tissue.

The present disclosure provides an adjustable delivery handle system for interchangeably delivering a needle to a biopsy site. The adjustable delivery handle system includes a delivery handle having an inner hub housing component configured to interchangeably receive a needle subassembly that can be inserted into and withdrawn from the proximal handle member. The needle subassembly includes a biopsy needle having a distinct tissue collection distal end configured to maximize tissue sampling yield and collect a cohesive unit of sampled tissue. The distal end of the needle includes first and second tip portions extending therefrom and radially opposing one another. The first tip portion has a length greater than the second tip portion, thereby resulting in an increased surface area of a curvilinear cutting edge extending from the first tip portion to the second tip portion.

Exchangeable core biopsy needle

The present disclosure generally relates to a biopsy needle configured to maximize tissue sampling yield and collect a cohesive unit of sampled tissue. The biopsy needle includes an elongate tubular body comprising a lumen extending therethrough from a proximal open end to a distal open end of the body. The distal end includes first and second tip portions extending therefrom and radially opposing one another. The first tip portion has a length greater than the second tip portion, thereby resulting in an increased surface area of a curvilinear cutting edge extending from the first tip portion to the second tip portion. Additionally, each of the first and second tip portions defines a point configured to pierce the tissue to be sampled and further direct tissue towards the lumen of the body to be excised by the cutting edge upon contact therewith.

The present disclosure provides biopsy needles configured to maximize tissue sampling yield and further ensure collection of a cohesive unit of sampled tissue. The biopsy needles of the present disclosure provide a distinct tissue collection distal end configured to collect a full core of tissue sample and keep the full core intact. The distal end may include a distinct helical slot extending from an open distal end or a distinct cutting tip forming a coring feature.

A urine collection system includes an anti-flux mechanism to reduce the amount of urine that may flow from within the collection bag back into the urine meter. The urine collection system includes a urine meter, a collection member defining at least a first opening for receiving urine from the urine meter and a shield positioned adjacent the opening of the collection member. The shield is affixed to the collection member at predetermined connection points along a periphery of the shield whereby urine flows between the connection points from the urine meter to the collection member. The shield may be affixed to an internal surface of the bag. The shield may be spot welded to the collection member at the connection points. The shield may include at least a first slot configured to permit the passage of fluid therethrough.

Anti-reflux mechanism for urine collection systems

Disclosed is a device for maintaining an adjustable loop in the drain tube of a urine collection and/or monitoring system. The clip, band or bands act to maintain the adjustable loop such that the adjustment in size of the loop created in the drain tube varies the effective length of the drain tube. Further disclosed is a method for preventing back pressure from developing in the drain tube of urine collection and/or monitoring system.

Adjustable drain loop for urine collection system

A urine meter is provided for use in a urine collection system. The urine meter includes a housing defining at least one fluid receptacle and having a concave upper wall having first and second ends and a central portion of reduced height. The housing defines first and second drain openings positioned adjacent respect ends of the upper wall. The housing also defines an inlet port extending through the central portion of the upper wall. A drain tube having a discharge end is positioned through the inlet port to direct fluid into the fluid receptacle. The drain tube has an internal surface having substantially no discontinuities. In one embodiment, the housing defines a centrally located first fluid receptacle and a second fluid receptacle which is positioned about the first fluid receptacle.
