A tool for installing compression connectors of various sizes and types on the end of a coaxial cable has a base mounting a pair of movable anvils for engaging two different lengths of connectors. The base further incorporates a fixed anvil for engaging a third length of connector. The movable anvils define an aperture which is shaped to permit easy entry and exit of a cable while still applying a suitable retention force to an inserted cable. A connector seating holder is formed in the front of the tool. A slidably mounted plunger cooperates with the anvils to compress a connector. The plunger has a push head and a slide rod. A lock nut is threaded on the push head and is engageable with the slide rod to prevent rotation of the push head.

In a presentation system, a source device provides uncompressed presentation content in an HDMI format. A first conversion device converts the uncompressed presentation content to an uncompressed second format and entirely transmits the uncompressed presentation content in the second format along an electrically conductive member. A second conversion device receives the uncompressed presentation content in the second format from the conductive member and converts the uncompressed presentation content to the HDMI format. For example, the conductive member may be that of a coaxial cable.

The compression cap may be placed over the end of a coaxial cable, and compressed onto the connector subassembly to secure a prepared end of the cable within the compressed and assembled connector.

An electrical connector for a multistranded insulator conductor cable having an elastomeric compression sleeve and a clamping member configured to compress radially inwardly against the cable as a compression member is axially advanced towards the connector body to secure the cable in the connector. The compression member assembly is configured to accommodate a variety of cable insulative sleeve thicknesses and center conductor gauges.

A driver tool for coaxial cable connectors is provided. The tool can drive both F-series coaxial cable connectors having a hex sleeve and BNC coaxial cable connectors having a bayonet sleeve. The driver tool has a socket which includes a first drive surface in the form of a plurality of flat segments formed on the socket and engageable in rotationally interlocking relation with the hex sleeve of an F connector. The socket also has a second drive surface in the form of a collar sized for frictional engagement in rotationally interlocking relation with the bayonet sleeve of a BNC connector. A longitudinal slot in the sleeve accommodates a coaxial cable. A handle and shaft connect to the socket.
