A vehicle lift system incorporating one or more lift control modules having an advanced operating platform. The lift control module includes a user interface for receiving user instructions from a user, at least one control module processor, and a non-transitory computer-readable medium with an advanced operating platform stored thereon. The computer readable medium includes a first application operable executable by the advanced operating platform. The first application directs the control module processor to provide instructions to the vehicle lift to control the vehicle lift based on the user instructions. The computer readable medium further includes a second application executable by the advanced operating platform. The second application directs the control module processor to perform certain steps, with such certain steps not directed to controlling the vehicle lift. Furthermore, the advanced operating platform is configured to execute said first application and said second application simultaneously.

A down stop indicator for a vehicle lift. The vehicle lift includes a main housing, a carriage assembly for receiving a wheel of a vehicle, a lift actuator for vertically raising and lowering the carriage assembly relative to the main housing, and down stop. The down stop can be selectively positioned in either an engaged position or an unengaged position. With the down stop in the engaged position, the down stop restricts the lift actuator from vertically lowering. The indicator is configured to indicate a position of the down stop.

Vehicle lift system with adaptive wireless communication

A vehicle lift comprising a vertically-orientated column and a pair of swing arms vertically-shiftable with respect to the post. The swing arms are configured to rotate with respect to the column. The vehicle lift additionally includes a sensor associated with each swing arm. Each sensor is configured to obtain information related to its respective swing arm. Each sensor is also associated with a radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag, with the RFID tag being configured to provide power to its respective sensor. The vehicle lift further includes a system controller in communication with the sensors and configured to control the vehicle lift based on the information obtained by the sensors.

Each lift of the lift system can include multiple microprocessors that communicate with one another and perform separate functions. The multiple microprocessors associated with each lift can include a control microprocessor configured to process information related to the lift control system and a communication microprocessor configured to process wireless communication information.

A wireless portable vehicle lift system. The lift system includes two or more portable lifts and an electronic control system for controlling the lifts. The electronic control system comprises a wireless communication system for wirelessly communicating lift control signals among the lifts. The electronic control system includes a remote control module configured to communicate wirelessly with the lifts, with the remote control module including a touch screen display. The electronic control system is programmed so that vertical shifting of the lifts requires dual operator input from at least two locations on the remote control module, with at least one of the two locations being on the touch screen display.

A velocity controlled wireless portable vehicle lift system for lifting a vehicle. The lift system includes two or more portable lifts and an electronic control system for controlling the lifts. The electronic control system includes a wireless communication system for communicating control signals among the lifts. The electronic control system includes a velocity control system that determines the velocity of each lift and, based on the determined velocities, maintains the lifted vehicle in a level condition during raising and lowering operations.
