A slow cooking appliance device. The device including: a body having a base, the body receives within it a removable cooking vessel; a movable heating element supported by the base; and a lift mechanism within the base for raising and lowering the movable heating element, such that the heating element is movable between an upper position and a lowered position.

A jug for a juicer has sealing features so that its contents may be isolated from the environment when it is not being filled or when used for pouring.

Toaster

A jug and lid for a juicer includes a cylindrical upper portion having an upper rim, with the upper rim having a first opening for receiving a discharge spout, the first opening having a pouring spout, and the lid having a cylindrical body that fits within the upper portion. The body includes a pouring channel and a second opening alienable with the first opening. The body further has an exterior surface that carries a stepped circumferential seal that seals an interior of the jug when the first and second openings are not aligned, and the openings are alignable in a filling orientation upon rotation of the lid.

A domestic carbonation appliance has a replaceable COcylinder and accepts a refillable bottle with a removeable cap. The cap can cooperate with a carbonation head of a domestic carbonation device but lacks bayonette or thread features for engaging the carbonation head. The device provides for 'one-touch' carbonation.

A griller having a substantially horizontally extending grill member to support food while being grilled, the grill member consisting of alternating bars and slots the bars being made of aluminium, aluminium alloy or a substance having similar heat transmitting properties there being arranged under the grill member an elongated electric heating element that is accommodated within a groove formed on the underside of the grill member, whereby fats and liquids emerging from food being cooked on the grill member are prevented from coming into contact with the electric heating element, an electric plug socket connected to the electric heating element directly and without intervention of a thermostat, the heating element and the grill member being constructed and arranged so that heat from the heating element is distributed more or less evenly over the surface of the grill member, the grill member being removeably supported on a container that in use underlies the grill member and acts to catch fat and liquids from the food being grilled, there being a circumferential gap between an outer wall of the container and the periphery of the grill member the width of the gap being such as to permit a flow of air into the space beneath the grill member to control the temperature of the heating element and grill member and prevent thermal run away.

A citrus juicer having a base enclosing a driving electric motor arranged to drive a pair of upstanding spindles on top of each of which is a juicing cone, the juicing cones being arranged above a container for the collection of juice, characterised in that the container is attached to the base so as to be readily removable therefrom for cleaning, a lid arranged to extend over the juicing cones and the container hingedly removably attached to the container, the lid being shaped internally to apply pressure to a half-citrus fruit placed on top of each said juicing cone on closure of the lid, the lid being moulded from plastic in a single piece, the arrangement being such that half of a citrus fruit can be placed on top of each juicing cone and the lid hinged downwardly to press simultaneously the halve of the citrus fruit onto the juicing cones in order to cause juice to be extracted from them.

Citrus juicer

A fruit and vegetable juicer has a rotatable horizontal grating disc integral with and surrounded by a substantially frusto-conical filter sieve the sides of which project upwardly and outwardly from the grating disk, a feed tube arranged above the disc and a food pusher insertable into the tube to press food down on to the grating disc for grating, pulp and juice thereby produced flying upwardly and outwardly, the juice passing through the filter and the pulp passing over the filter for subsequent collection. The juicer is characterized in that the feed tube has an internal diameter substantially the same as that of the grating disc, there being provided in the tube a knife or knives having an upwardly directed cutting edge, the knife or knives being attached to and supported by the tube, the food pusher being bifurcated or otherwise shaped to pass downwardly past the knife or knives, downward movement thereof causing an article of food to be cut by the cutting edge or edges of the knife or knives and pressed onto the grating disc, the food being held against rotation by the knife or knives.
