A system includes a void filter that receives sensor data employed to produce or inspect a manufactured part, the void filter generates a void data subset indicating voids detected in the manufactured part. A stress analyzer processes the void data subset from the void filter and determines coordinate data and force data for the respective detected voids in the manufactured part. At least one deterministic model analyzes the coordinate data and the force data from the stress analyzer determined for the detected voids from the void data subset. The deterministic model analyzes failure of the detected voids with respect to time and generates deterministic output data indicating failure over a deterministic timeframe. A prognostic analyzer processes the deterministic output data from the at least one deterministic model and generates a failure prediction for the as manufactured part.

Automatic prognostic qualification of manufacturing products

A method and apparatus for embedding critical data directly onboard a physical asset is disclosed. Since the critical data and the asset are never separated, accurate and timely data pertinent to the asset travels with it, and may be written, read, and updated. Accurate data collection ensures a digital model/twin of the asset reflects the true physical state of the asset. Data is embedding optically or magnetically and may be read or rewritten so that information about the life/usage of the asset is continually available, right up to the current state.

A plurality of colors from a defined color palette are classified according to a color content of the first set of images into at least first and second classes. System for balance distribution of requests across multiple servers using dynamic metrics

There is provided a method for generating a probability distribution for a desired variable. A hyper parameter density function is provided, from which values are randomly selected. The selected hyper parameter value is used to compute an input variable value. A value is randomly selected from each input variable probability density function. These values are input into a physics model to compute an output value. This process is repeated to generate numerous output values, which are then used to construct an output value probability density function. After the output value probability density function is constructed, output value sensor data is obtained. The output density function is updated using the sensor data and a probabilistic evaluation of the hyper parameters. Improved predictions are iteratively made with the updated output distribution.

Prognosis adaptation method

A system for distributing incoming client requests across multiple servers in a networked client-server computer environment processes all requests as a set that occur within a given time interval and collects information on both the attributes of the requests and the resource capability of the servers to dynamically allocate the requests in a set to the appropriate servers upon the completion of the time interval. Preferably, the system includes a request table to collect at least two requests incoming within a predetermined time interval. A request examiner routine analyzes each collected request with respect to at least one attribute. A system status monitor collects resource capability information of each server in a resource table. An optimization and allocation process distributes collected requests in the request table across the multiple servers upon completion of said time interval based on an optimization of potential pairings of the requests in the request table with the servers in the resource table. The optimization and allocation process preferably analyzes metrics maintained in the request table and resource table as part of a relational database to allocate requests to servers based on a minimization of the metric distance between pairings of requests and servers. Preferably, the request table is part of a dynamic, relational database and a process of statistical inference for ascertaining expected demand patterns involving said the attributes adds predictive information about client requests as part of the request examiner routine.

A hosted service provider for the Internet is operated so as to provide dynamic management of hosted services across disparate customer accounts and/or geographically distinct sites. For each of a plurality of customer accounts, a plurality of individual servers are allocated to a common administrative group defined for that customer account. Each administrative group is configured to access software and data unique to that customer account to provide hosted services for that customer account. The system automatically monitors the performance and health of the servers in each administrative group. At least one server from a first administrative group is automatically and dynamically reallocated to a second administrative group in response to the automatic monitoring. The automatic and dynamic reallocation of servers is accomplished by setting initialization pointers for the reallocated servers to access software and data unique to the customer account for the second administrative group, and then reinitializing the reallocated servers such that the reallocated servers join the second administrative group when restarted. Preferably, the performance and health of the servers in each administrative group are monitored over a separate out-of-band communication channel dedicated to interconnecting the servers as an administrative group. Each administrative group includes a local decision software program that communicates with a master decision software program that determines when and how to dynamically reallocate servers to different administrative work groups in response to usage demands, available resources and service level agreements for different customer accounts.

Blood pressure measurement system for accurately measuring an individual's blood pressure is designed to have a characteristic response corresponding to a typical mercury-gravity pressure manometer. The blood pressure measurement system replaces the mercury column of the standard mercury-gravity pressure manometer with electronic components. The electronic blood pressure measurement system utilizes a pressure transducer connected to a standard pressure cuff and appropriate filtering to augment the output of the pressure transducer such that its characteristic response and damping correspond to the mercury in the mercury-gravity pressure manometer. A display can be utilized to graphically or numerically represent the mercury column as well as providing other useful information. The techniques currently employed for measuring blood pressure with a mercury-gravity pressure manometer may be employed when utilizing the electronic blood pressure measurement system. A method for operating the electronic blood pressure measurement system is also disclosed.

A method for detecting and tracking turns of a maneuvering target comprises the steps of determining first and second radar information of the maneuvering target. The first and second radar information and a set of target speeds are used to determine a set of turn radii for the maneuvering target. The first and second radar information and a set of target arc speeds are used to determine a second set of turn radii for the maneuvering target. The set of turn radii and the set of target speeds define a speed-radius curve, and the second set of turn radii and the set of target arc speeds define an arc speed-radius curve. An intersection of the speed-radius and arc speed-radius curves is located, and the intersection is used to determine whether the maneuvering target has made a turn.

An adaptive filtering neural network classifier for classifying input signals, includes a neural network and one or more adaptive filters for receiving input analog signals to be classified and generates inputs for the classifier. Each adaptive filter is characterized as having a predetermined number of operating parameters. An analog to digital converter converts each input signal into a digital signal before input to the neural network. The neural network processes each digital signal to generate therefrom a plurality of weighted output signals in accordance with the type of network implemented. One of the weighted output signals represents a class for the input signal, and an error signal representing a difference between the weighted output signals and a predetermined desired output is also generated by the network. A control device responsive to the error signal generates a further set of operating filter parameters for input to each of the adaptive filters to change the operating response thereof and minimize the error signal.

A neural network binary code recognizer for decoding n-bit binary code words. This apparatus includes inputs for inputting n signals into the recognizer, each of the n signals representing a bit value of an n-bit binary code word, which may or may not be corrupted. The apparatus also includes n amplifiers, each having an input for receiving a respective input signal. The amplifiers condition the respective input signals to generate respective output signals at one or more bit values of one or more corresponding predetermined valid n-bit binary code words. The apparatus further includes a device for approximating an image product for each of the one or more predetermined valid n-bit binary code words, each approximated image product comprising the product of an output signal from each amplifier in accordance with a respective predetermined valid n-bit binary coded word. Each approximated image product is fed back to an input of each amplifier in accordance with a bit value of one or more predetermined valid n-bit binary code words to enable an output signal of a respective amplifier to dynamically approach each bit value of the input n-bit binary code word.
