A network apparatus includes a hybrid data/power cable further including a power conductor and a data conductor extending between a first end and a second end thereof, the first end of the hybrid data/power cable terminating with a first connector head. The first connector head includes a fuse element coupled in series with the power conductor of the hybrid data/power cable. A remote device is coupled to the second end of the hybrid data/power cable for receiving a data signal from the data conductor of the hybrid data/power cable and a DC voltage from the power conductor of the first hybrid data/power cable. The remote device includes a current-limiting circuit coupled in series with the power conductor of the first hybrid data/power cable to produce a DC voltage at an output of the current-limiting circuit. The remote device further includes a buck/boost converter coupled to the output of the current-limiting circuit for adjusting the DC voltage. An external power supply may also be provided for the remote device.

Examples described herein include a removable power inlet, a removable power supply, and an electrical connection between the removable power inlet and the removable power supply. The removable power inlet may send a signal to the removable power supply to indicate an ampere rating of the removable power inlet. The removable power supply may set a current limit on a power supplied from the removable power supply based on the signal.

Examples of power source adjustment can include a device that includes a sensing device to measure a first thermal temperature of a first power source and second thermal temperature of a second power source, a controller to balance power sourced by each of the first and the second power sources based on the first and the second thermal temperatures, and a circuit to adjust the power sourced by each of the first and the second power sources based on the balanced sourced power.

The present disclosure is drawn to a thermal inkjet printhead stack with an amorphous thin metal protective layer, comprising an insulated substrate, a resistor applied to the insulated substrate, a resistor passivation layer applied to the resistor, and an amorphous thin metal protective layer applied to the resistor passivation layer. The amorphous thin metal protective layer can comprise from 5 atomic % to 90 atomic % of a metalloid of carbon, silicon, or boron. The film can also include a first and second metal, each comprising from 5 atomic % to 90 atomic % of titanium, vanadium, chromium, cobalt, nickel, zirconium, niobium, molybdenum, rhodium, palladium, hafnium, tantalum, tungsten, iridium, or platinum. The second metal is different than the first metal, and the metalloid, the first metal, and the second metal account for at least 70 atomic % of the amorphous thin metal protective layer.

An ink jet ink with high structure pigment particles can include a liquid vehicle, high structure pigment particles dispersed in the liquid vehicle at from about 0.2 wt % to about 5.0 wt %, and a polyurethane binder present in the liquid vehicle at from about 0.2 wt % to about 5.0 wt %. The high structure pigment particles can have polymer dispersant adsorbed onto a surface thereof, a DBP absorption value at a minimum of about 75 ml/100 g, and a surface area of about 200 m/g to about 2000 m/g.
