Polyethylene blend composition

Crosslinkable polymeric compositions comprising (a) a polyolefin elastomer having hydrolysable silane groups, (b) a hydroxyl-terminated polysiloxane, (c) a polyalkoxy silane compatibilizer, and (d) a condensation catalyst. Also described are methods for preparing such crosslinkable polymeric compositions, processes for crosslinking such polymeric compositions, and the resulting crosslinked polymeric compositions themselves. Such compositions can be employed in a variety of articles of manufacture, particularly in the wire and cable industry.

Process for reducing peroxide migration in crosslinkable ethylene-based polymer compositions

A composition comprising: A. 91.5 to 97.9% of a crosslinkable ethylene-based polymer, e.g., LDPE; B. 1 to 3% of an organic peroxide, e.g., dicumyl peroxide; C. 1 to 5% of a dielectric fluid, e.g., an alkylated naphthalene; and D. 0.1 to 0.5% of a coagent such as AMSD. The present invention relates to a flexible polyolefin composition, a sheet made therefrom, and a formed textured skin for applications such as interior furnishings of an automobile and a process to make such composition, sheet, and textured skin. Specifically said composition comprises an extrudable cross-linkable polyolefin composition comprising: (i) from 60 to 75 weight percent of one or more one silane cross-linkable polyolefin polymer; (ii) a moisture-cure condensation catalyst; and (iii) from 25 to 40 weight percent of one or more polyolefin polymer elastomer. Preferably an extruded sheet of said composition is formed into a textured skin, preferably by positive vacuum forming.

Cross-linkable polyolefin composition for formed textured skin applications

Highly-mineral-filled, halogen-free, flame-retardant compositions made from or containing a polypropylene thermoplastic elastomer, a polypropylene, a metal hydroxide filler, and a polar-monomer-grafted polyolefin elastomer compatibilizer. Such compositions can be employed in preparing various articles of manufacture, including extruded articles and coated conductors, such as cables.

Thermoplastic halogen-free flame retardant formulations

Compositions having at least 60 weight percent, based on the total weight of polymers, have at least one silane crosslinkable polyolefin resin and up to about 40 weight percent, based on the total weight of polymers, of at least one polyolefin elastomer resin, wherein the polyolefin polymer elastomer resin has density of less than or equal to about 0.89 g/cmand a melt index, I, of less than about 50 g/10 mm. and which has been prepared using at least one metallocene catalyst provide improved flexibility, especially low temperature flexibility, while maintaining suitable cure performance and strength compared to the silane crosslinkable polymer resin alone. This composition may be used in cables for low temperature service applications.
