A battery assembly includes a sealed battery cell container holds a positive and negative electrode and an electrolyte. Deflection-responsive means engages at least one outer face of the container and is responsive to deflection thereof for operating a cut-off switch to break the electrical continuity of the battery assembly. Flat battery cell containers may be stacked in different arrangements within a coupling structure, the arrangements defining either a cavity between the coupling structure and an adjacent container face, or a cavity between faces of adjacent cell containers. A membrane switch received in the cavity is actuated by bulging of a cell container wall. A control circuit operates the cut-off switch in response to actuation of the membrane switch.

Described is a toy vehicle adapter that includes at least one motorized wheel for attaching with a non-motorized toy vehicle. The adapter includes a housing with an attachment apparatus that is formed to attach with the toy vehicle. A receiver is included that is capable of receiving a wireless signal to actuate the motor. When connected with the toy vehicle, the motor may be activated to engage with the wheel and thereby force the toy vehicle across a surface. Thus, the adapter is formed to convert a non-motorized toy vehicle into a remotely-controlled motorized vehicle.

A tent is provided with an inflatable support structure having a manually operated inflation pump associated with the inflatable support structure and the tent. The pump is fixedly attached to the tent such that the tent and the pump form a single, integrated unit. The pump is preferably movable between a storage position and a use position. While in the storage position, the pump is also preferably is hidden or camouflaged by the tent environment. The tent structure may also be enhanced with sound capabilities for increasing enjoyment and use of the tent.

A toy figure having an arm or leg incorporates an internal clicking sound-generating mechanism. For toy figures molded from deformable plastic material, the sound-generating mechanism is within an arm or leg of the toy, and includes first and second members relatively movably engageable with each other inside a closed chamber. A clicking sound is produced thereby, typically when the arm or leg is bent. The arm or leg is formed by an insert molding operation with the plastic material molded to shape completely around the sound-generating mechanism. For other toy figures, such as stuffed animals, the filling or stuffing surrounds the sound-generating mechanism, and the portions of the sound-generating mechanism that engage each other are arranged inside a closed chamber, or at least within an enclosure shaped to substantially exclude the filling or stuffing.

A toy figure having an arm or leg which is moulded from deformable plastic material and incorporates an internal clicking sound generating mechanism. The sound generating mechanism has a closed chamber and includes first and second members which are relatively movably engageable with each other inside the chamber for producing a clicking sound within the chamber upon relative movement where the arm or leg is bent. The arm or leg is formed by an insert moulding operation with the plastic material moulded to shape completely around the sound generating mechanism.
