An interface assembly for a combustor includes an interface housing having a channel defined by a forward wall and at least one aft wall segment, the aft wall segment operatively coupled to an aft flange of a flow sleeve. Also included is a piston ring fittingly disposed in the channel.

The present application provides a turbine component for use in a hot gas path of a gas turbine. The turbine component may include an outer surface, an internal cooling circuit, a number of cooling pathways in communication with the internal cooling circuit and extending through the outer surface, and a number of adaptive cooling pathways in communication with the internal cooling circuit and extending through the outer surface. The adaptive cooling pathways may include a high temperature compound therein.

A system includes a catalytic reactor configured to mount to a combustor. The catalytic reactor includes a catalyst configured to reduce emissions associated with combustion in the combustor. The catalytic reactor also includes a first and a second sacrificial coating disposed over the catalyst prior to mounting of the catalytic reactor into the combustor, wherein the first and second sacrificial coatings are removable while the catalytic reactor is mounted to the combustor without damaging the catalyst.

Methods of reducing an initial cross-sectional area of a hole in a component to a predetermined cross-sectional area including preparing a composition comprising at least an aluminum alloy with a melting temperature higher than aluminum, applying the composition to an interior surface of the hole, and then heating the component to cause a metal within the component to diffuse from the component into the composition and react with the aluminum alloy in the composition to form a coating on the interior surface of the hole. The heating step is performed to selectively modify the initial cross-sectional area of the hole and thereby directly attain the predetermined cross-sectional area thereof.

Methods of resizing holes

A turbine component and a process of fabricating a component are disclosed. The process includes excavating a base metal of the component to form a fill region and filling the fill region with a filler metal. The filler metal has a filler metal elongation that is at least 25% greater than a base metal elongation of the base metal. The filler includes, by weight, between about 4% and about 7% iron, between about 14% and about 17% chromium, between about 15% and about 17% molybdenum, between about 3% and about 5% tungsten, up to about 0.02% carbon, up to about 1% manganese, up to about 2.5% cobalt, and a balance of nickel and/or the filler metal elongation is greater than about 35% in/in per two inches.

According to one aspect of the invention, an assembly for preventing fluid flow between turbine components includes a shim and a first woven wire mesh layer that includes a first surface coupled to a first side of the shim and a second surface of the woven wire mesh layer opposite the first surface. The assembly also includes a first outer layer coupled to the second surface of the woven wire mesh layer, where the first outer layer includes a high temperature non-metallic material.
