A manually actuated drug-injecting device is configured such that the grip strength of the entire hand (i.e., majority of fingers closing toward the palm or heel of the hand) is employed to discharge medication through a hypodermic needle and into a patient's body. The device is well suited for delivering medications with high viscosity and/or by patients (e.g., elderly patients) with reduced finger strength and dexterity. The device includes a grip member, a push member (which causes the medication to be injected), and a force-transfer mechanism that couples the grip member to the push member. Suitably, the device is configured to be held transverse to the palm of the medication-administering hand, with a discharge port located by the outer, blade edge of the administering hand, when the device is being gripped to administer medication.

The present invention relates to drug delivery systems that cannot be reloaded or reused and further include a passive safety shield system. The drug delivery devices described herein include a drug container comprising at least one bellow, a needle, wherein the needle is in liquid communication with the drug container; a plunger extending between a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the plunger is in communication with the drug container and where upon axial movement of the plunger, the drug container is compressed.

A collection device includes a base housing member having at least one chamber. A cover housing member has at least one aperture therein, and the cover housing member is configured to cover the base housing member such that the at least one aperture is positioned in fluid communication with the at least one chamber. The cover housing member includes a cartridge holding interface configured to releasably engage with a cartridge that is configured to cover and receive a fluid from the at least one chamber via the at least one aperture.

Sample collection and transfer assembly and related methods

A shifter for use with a continuously variable transmission includes a grip portion and a hub portion. Specifically, the shifter is designed for use on a bicycle, but could also be used with any light vehicle. The grip portion is characterized by a rotatable adjuster that is coupled to a cable. The cable is also coupled to a hub portion. As the adjuster is rotated, the cable is pulled, in turn rotating a pulley assembly in the hub portion. As the pulley assembly is rotated, it advances a rod within a continuously variable transmission. The rod adjusts the power adjusters as described above. The grip portion is also unique in its display of information to the rider. The grip portion includes a display showing the ratio of input to output. The display also includes a filament that curves as the ration is adjusted. A high ratio renders the filament flat while the filament takes on a steep curve as the ratio is adjusted to make riding up hills easier.

An air intake for a lawn and garden tractor has an opening with a screen covering the opening. A float panel is positioned adjacent to and spaced from the outer surface of the screen. The full surface area of the screen is available to pull in air, while limiting engine noise entering the environment and minimizing ingestion of excess grass and other debris.

A Cable Television (CATV) Converter box or computer has a Smart Card connector mounted in a bottom wall thereof. The Converter box includes a case having a top wall, the bottom wall, and four side walls, a main printed circuit (PC) board mounted within the Converter box and parallel to the top and bottom walls thereof, and a Smart Card connector. The Smart Card connector is mounted directly onto the PC board and within a protrusion of the bottom wall of the Converter box. The Smart Card connector defines an opening which is aligned with a first end of a groove defined in the bottom wall of the case for receiving a Smart Card storing a predetermined signal security decrypting algorithm. A second end of the groove is either formed in one of the side walls of the device or in the bottom wall of the case. The Smart Card is installed by inserting the Smart Card in the groove and placing it into contact with the Smart Card connector.

A self-propelled agricultural harvester is provided with an operator's cab which has a combined roof and visor in which environmental components and accessories are mounted.

A visor structure is provided for the cab of a harvester which has horizontal parts which extend forwardly and laterally outwardly from the top of the cab to approximately the tread of vehicle and approximately to the lateral extremities of the grain bin mounted immediately behind the cab. The visor structure supports forwardly directed operating lights and rear view mirrors. The cab is provided with an access door at one lateral side and a walkway extends laterally outwardly therefrom. The visor structure does not extend over the walkway, thus freely permitting operator ingress and egress. The visor structure also includes a part extending forwardly from the cab. The top of the visor structure, the top of the cab and the top of the grain bin lie substantially in a common horizontal plane.
