A wireless transmit/receiver unit (WTRU) is configured to receive sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration information. The SRS configuration information indicates a plurality of SRS configurations and indicates antenna transmission information. The WTRU is configured to receive SRS trigger information. The SRS trigger information comprises an indication to trigger transmission of one of the plurality of SRS configurations. The WTRU is configured to transmit a plurality of SRS associated with the indication in the SRS trigger information and based on the SRS configuration information. At least a first SRS of the plurality of SRS is transmitted over a first antenna port in a first symbol and at least a second SRS of the plurality of SRS is transmitted over a second antenna port in a second symbol.

Uplink sounding reference signals configuration and transmission

Methods and systems for transmitting uplink control information and feedback are disclosed for carrier aggregation systems. A user equipment device may be configured to transmit uplink control information and other feedback for several downlink component carriers using one or more uplink component carriers. The user equipment device may be configured to transmit such data using a physical uplink control channel rather than a physical uplink shared channel. The user equipment device may be configured to determine the uplink control information and feedback data that is to be transmitted, the physical uplink control channel resources to be used to transmit the uplink control information and feedback data, and how the uplink control information and feedback data may be transmitted over the physical uplink control channel.

Uplink control data transmission

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) receives control information over a physical downlink control channel in a shared radio resource space monitored by the WTRU. The control information includes radio resource assignment information and an indication of whether the control information includes radio resource assignment information for an uplink shared channel or whether the control information includes radio resource assignment information for a downlink shared channel. The WTRU determines whether the control information is intended for the WTRU based on WTRU identity-masked (ID-masked) cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits. The WTRU determines, based on the indication, whether the control information is for the uplink shared channel or whether the control information is for the downlink shared channel. The WTRU transmits data over the uplink shared channel based on the radio resource assignment information on a condition that the control information is determined to be for the uplink shared channel.

Method and apparatus for providing channel assignment information used to support uplink and downlink channels

A base station and a method for use by the base station are disclosed. The method includes transmitting, over an interface, to a controlling node a request for wireless transmit receive unit (WTRU) information, and receiving, over the interface, the WTRU information including WTRU capabilities information in response to the request, wherein the WTRU capabilities information indicates time intervals associated with numerations for shared channel allocation usage by the WTRU. A control node is also disclosed where the control note includes a processor and interface for receiving, over the interface, from a base station a request for WTRU information, and transmitting, over the interface, the WTRU information including WTRU capabilities information in response to the request, wherein the WTRU capabilities information indicates time intervals associated with numerations for shared channel allocation usage by the WTRU.

Method and apparatus for transferring wireless transmit/receive unit capability information

Apparatuses and methods supporting uplink transmissions are disclosed. A method includes receiving signaling including information indicating a primary cell and at least one non-primary cell, receiving a message with scheduling information indicating an allocation of uplink resources and a HARQ process ID, and transmitting to at least the one non-primary cell an uplink transmission using a HARQ process indicated by the HARQ process ID and the allocation of uplink resources. Another method includes transmitting signaling including information indicating a primary cell and at least one non-primary cell, transmitting a message with scheduling information indicating an allocation of uplink resources and a HARQ process ID to a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU), and receiving an uplink transmission using a HARQ process indicated by the HARQ process ID and the allocation of uplink resources on at least the one non-primary cell.

Supporting uplink transmissions

A method and apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a wireless transceiver and a processor. The apparatus performs wireless communications with a primary cell, receives a message via a shared channel of the primary cell, wherein the received message includes information identifying a plurality of non-primary cells, monitors downlink channels of the identified plurality of non-primary cells based on the received message, and receives data over a downlink channel of at least one of the identified plurality of non-primary cells based on the monitored downlink channels.

Method and apparatus for monitoring downlink channels of a plurality of cells and receiving data over a downlink channel

A method and base station are disclosed. The base station comprises a wireless transceiver and a processor. The base station performs wireless communications with a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) via a primary cell, transmits a message via a shared channel of the primary cell, wherein the message includes information identifying a plurality of non-primary cells, and transmits, to the WTRU, data over a downlink channel of at least one of the plurality of non-primary cells identified by the message.

Method and network for transferring wireless transmit/receive unit capability information

A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) is configured to receive a WTRU-specific configuration of WTRU-specific sounding reference signal (SRS) subframes for performing SRS transmissions. The WTRU is configured to receive a trigger in a subframe to transmit a first SRS. The WTRU is configured to select a first subframe. The WTRU is configured to determine that a maximum power would be exceeded in a symbol in the selected first subframe. The WTRU is configured to, on a condition that transmission of at least one other SRS would at least partially overlap in the symbol in the selected first subframe, scale transmission powers of the first SRS and the at least one other SRS equally to comply with the maximum power. The WTRU is configured to transmit, in accordance with the scaled transmission powers, the first SRS in the selected subframe and the at least one other SRS.

The WTRU receives, from the primary downlink cell, a second scheduling assignment, the second scheduling assignment indicating a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process identification of the first HARQ process, a modulation and coding set (MCS), and a transmission time opportunity, determines whether to retransmit the first data based on the HARQ process identification, and retransmits the first data in a second uplink transmission using the first HARQ process, the MCS, and the transmission time opportunity.
