An interactive drawing tablet is provided having a housing and at least one surface on which printed media is mounted. A delivery device is electrically coupled to the interactive drawing tablet and is configured to hold a writing implement. An array of emitters are embedded in the surface and configured to emit signals. The delivery device is configured to receive the signals from the emitters when the delivery device is brought into proximity to the individual emitters and thereby determine a location on the printed media. The interactive drawing tablet is equipped with a speaker for emitting audio media to the user of the tablet. The interactive drawing tablet provides a user with instructions as to actions that should be taken with respect to the printed media.

A digital template animation kit is provided for generating a three-dimensional animation corresponding to a captured two-dimensional template. In embodiments, a template animation kit includes a template portfolio having template designs for coloring in by a user. A computing device executing a template animation kit application, such as a digital fashion portfolio kit application, may then capture an image of the user-completed drawings on each template design. In some embodiments, capturing an image of a template design includes identifying a coloring figure identifier, an upper page guide identifier, and a lower page guide identifier. In further embodiments, the captured images of two-dimensional template designs are applied to three dimensional digital templates for animation within a digital template animation environment.

In some embodiments, the digital coloring tools kit includes a digital paintbrush tool, a digital stamper tool, a digital pattern roller, a digital airbrush tool, a digital paint palette, and a carrying case. A persistence-of-vision display device that is configured to receive inputs via a stylus and methods for its use are described. The device includes a display housing with a rotating armature disposed therein. The armature includes arrays of light sources and sensors. A stylus is provided that is useable to provide input through the display housing in a manner similar to drawing on the housing. Angular locations of the inputs are identified and corresponding light sources are illuminated. The impression of drawing on the display device is thus provided. Controls for color selection, animation, and other features are provided.

An interactive projection system, apparatus, and methods for their use are provided. The system includes a projection unit that projects an image of a user interface onto a projection surface. At least one vision sensor is provided that is configured to sense a location of an infrared light source. A computing device that is configured to execute applications to provide the user interface and to determine corresponding outputs based on inputs received by the vision sensor is also provided. An infrared input device, or stylus, is employed by a user to provide infrared light inputs at desired locations with respect to the projected user interface. Additionally, a plurality of styli, each emitting a different respective wavelength of infrared light is also useable to provide multiple simultaneous inputs to the system. An equal plurality of vision sensors may also be employed to separately sense inputs from a respective stylus.

A data receiving and illuminatable marking instrument and spaced emission source is disclosed. The marking instrument may be a full duplex marking apparatus that communicates with spaced emitters transmitting infrared electromagnetic energy encoded with unique data packets. The marking instrument illuminates a portion of the marking implement in response to the data received from the data transmitting device. A method for using the above invention likewise is disclosed.

The dust attachment which is used with a spiral saw power tool includes a first attachment portion which at a rear end has a substantially dust-tight fit with a mounting head portion of the tool. The other (forward) end extends beyond a forward edge of the mounting head portion, but such that the spiral saw bit extends beyond the forward edge of the attachment portion by a distance which is slightly greater than that of the thickness of the workpiece. An attaching member such as a screw secures the dust attachment portion to the tool. An dust exit tube extends from a side surface of the attachment portion and communicates with the interior of the attachment portion. The dust exit tube extends at an angle away from the attachment portion toward the rear end thereof.

In the illustrative embodiment, a one shot multivibrator is adapted to receive an incoming FM signal at its input, and in operation generates a series of pulses which coincide in time with the positive peaks of the received FM signal. The series of pulses generated by the multivibrator is in turn applied to an initiate/reset input of a free-running pulse generator which is arranged so that, when it is permitted to free-run, it emits a train of pulses having a preset pulse interval identical to the interval between successive positive peaks of the incoming FM signal at the particular point in time when the instantaneous voltage level of the modulating signal component of the FM signal is equal to the predetermined voltage level. The application of the pulses from the multivibrator to the initiate/reset input of the pulse generator synchronizes the pulse generator to the multivibrator, so that an output from the pulse generator is an indication that the predetermined voltage level has been crossed by the modulating signal component of the FM signal. The illustrative embodiment also may include a coincidence circuit which in operation compares the timing of the pulses from the multivibrator with the timing of the pulses from the pulse generator and generates an output signal when coincidence occurs, each output from the coincidence circuit serving to indicate a predetermined voltage level crossing.
