A COenergy storage system includes a storage tank that stores a COslurry, including dry ice and liquid CO, at COtriple point temperature and pressure conditions. The storage system also includes a first pump coupled in flow communication with the storage tank. The first pump is configured to receive the COslurry from the storage tank and to increase a pressure of the COslurry to a pressure above the COtriple point pressure. The energy storage system further includes a contactor coupled in flow communication with the first pump. The contactor is configured to receive the high pressure COslurry from the pump and to receive a first flow of gaseous COat a pressure above the COtriple point pressure. The gaseous COis contacted and then condensed by the melting dry ice in the slurry to generate liquid CO.

A sensor deployment system for positioning within a well casing is provided. The sensor deployment system includes a deployment shuttle comprising a first end, a second end, and an inner surface and an outer surface extending between the first end and the second end. The method includes discharging the condensed stream to a degasser and degassing a carbon dioxide rich gas from the condensed stream. The method also includes mixing the carbon dioxide rich gas stream with the first gas stream to produce a second gas stream. The method includes controlling a third flow rate of the second gas stream by regulating a third pressure of the second gas stream to a fourth pressure that is different than the third pressure.

An oil recovery system and method are disclosed. The system includes a solar power tower for receiving a first portion of water from a water treatment device. The solar power tower heats the first portion of water directly using solar radiation and generates a first steam. Further, the system includes a boiler for receiving a second portion of water from the water treatment device. The boiler heats the second portion of water and generates a second steam. Further, the system includes a flow control device coupled to the solar power tower and the boiler to receive at least one of the first steam and the second steam. The flow control device injects at least one of the first steam and the second steam to an oil field.

An apparatus and method for delivering a thickened fluid mixture, including a COrecapture system. The apparatus including a proppant storage vessel and a fracturing fluid storage vessel providing a continuos supply of a proppant material and a fracturing fluid to a mixing apparatus. Rolling averages of the buffered data are calculated where the calculation of the rolling averages low pass filters the data. Change-detect compression is performed on the rolling averaged data, and the compressed data are archived. The archived data are transmitted to a central location and received. The received data are archived at the central location.

Method for data filtering and anomoly detection

The fuel heat content of fuel is measured on-line while a combustion turbine system is running by measuring data from the combustion turbine system during combustion of the fuel. The measured data are corrected using a standard correction algorithm. The fuel heat content of the fuel is determined using at least a portion of the corrected data. From the measurement of the fuel heat content, any changes in the fuel heat content are determined. Also, any changes in the control and operational parameters attributable to the change in fuel heat content are determined.

A remote inventory system employs unique serial numbers 'burned' into each board/software routine desired to be tracked. These boards/routines find their way into machines at various remote sites each connected to a base by a remote link. A monitor program is run by a microprocessor resident at each remote site. It periodically collects the serial numbers and other information regarding the boards/routines, and transmits the information to a base running a base program. The base program interacting with a database, determines the hardware/software configuration, performance history, tracks the lifecycle of a board/routine. It may also be possible to determine remote sites running unauthorized 'protected property'.
