The invention relates to 3-phenylisoxazoline-5-carboxamides of tetrahydro- and dihydrofurancarboxylic acids and esters of the general formula (I) and their agrochemically acceptable salts and to their use in the crop protection sector.

Herbicidally active 3-phenylisoxazoline-5-carboxamides of tetrahydro and dihydrofuran carboxylic acids and esters

Disclosed are N-(1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-yl)aryl carboxamides of formula (I) or the salts (I) thereof as well as the use thereof as herbicides. 

Substituted n-(-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-yl)aryl carboxamides and the use thereof as herbicides

Acylated N-(1,2,5-oxadiazol-3-yl)-, N-(1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-, N-(tetrazol-5-yl)- and N-(triazol-5-yl)arylcarboxamides of the formula (I) and the use thereof as herbicides are described.  In this formula (I), R, V, X, Y and Z are radicals such as hydrogen, organic radicals such as alkyl, and other radicals such as halogen. Q is an oxadiazole, triazole or tetrazole radical. W is CY or N.

Acylated N-(1 ,2,5-oxadiazol-3-yl)-, N-(1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)-, N-(tetrazol-5-yl)- and N-(triazol-5-yl)-aryl carboxamides, and use thereof as herbicides

Herbicidally and fungicidally active 3-heteroarylisoxazoline-5-carboxamides and 3-heteroarylisoxazoline-5-thioamides of the formula (I) are described.  In this formula (I), R represents radicals such as hydrogen, halogen and organic radicals such as substituted alkyl. A is a bond or a divalent unit. Y is a chalcogen.

The invention provides the use in combating fungi of compounds of general formula I wherein R is hydrogen, hydroxy, acyl, acyloxy, optionally substituted amino, R , R Si, R S or R O, where R is optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted alkenyl, optionally substituted alkynyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkenyl, optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted heterocyclyl; Z is oxygen or sulfur; M is a thiophene ring; and R and R , which may be the same or different, have the same meaning as R or can be optionally substituted amino, hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro or a group OR or S(O) R , where R has the same meaning as R or is hydrogen or acyl and m is 0, 1 or 2; or R and R together with the atoms to which they are attached form an optionally substituted carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring; together with tautomers of compounds where R is hydrogen.

Fungicides

The invention provides the use in combating fungi of compounds of general formula (I) wherein R is hydrogen, hydroxy, acyl, acyloxy, optionally substituted amino, R , R Si, R S or R O, where R is optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted alkenyl, optionally substituted alkynyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkenyl, optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted heterocyclyl; R has the same meaning as R or can be hydrogen; Z is oxygen or sulfur, M is a thiophene ring, and R and R , which may be the same or different, have the same meaning as R or can be optionally substituted amino, hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro or a group OR or S(O) R , where R has the same meaning as R or is hydrogen or acyl and m is 0, 1 or 2; or R and R together with the atoms to which they are attached form an optionally substituted carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring; together with tautomers of compounds where R is hydrogen.

Compounds of the formula ##STR1## where one of Z and Y is CO and the other is C--W--R.sup.2 and the dotted line indicates a double bond is present where necessary to meet valency requirements, W is O, S(O).sub.n, N(R.sup.3), N(R.sup.3)(R.sup.4), N(R.sup.3)O or ON(R.sup.3); R.sup.1 is hydrogen, or an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, phenyl or heterocyclyl group; R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and R.sup.4, which may be the same or different, are as defined above for R.sup.1, or are acyl, or R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 or R.sup.2 and R.sup.4 or R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 together with the nitrogen or oxygen to which they are attached form an optionally substituted ring which may contain other hetero atoms; each X, which may be the same as or different from any other X, is halogen, CN, NO.sub.2, SF.sub.5, B(OH).sub.2, triakylsilyl or a group E, OE or S(O).sub.n E where E is a group as defined hereinbefore for R.sup.2 or is optionally substituted amino; or two adjacent groups X together with the atoms to which they are attached form an optionally substituted carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring; n is 0, 1 or 2; and p is 0 to 4 have fungicidal activity.
