The method of remediating fan source production of smoke in an aircraft cabin, that includes detecting excessive vibration of the fan housing or frame produced in conjunction with fan rotor interference with the frame or housing causing smoke production, and effecting shut-down of fan rotor rotation in response to such detecting.

A system to produce a high pressure stream of deionized water, for cleaning vehicle bodies, comprising, in combination, first and second deionization beds within first and second vessels, a first conduit or conduits to conduct non-deionized water at a relatively low pressure or pressures to pass through the first bed to deionize the water, a primary sensor to measure the deionization level of water that has passed through the first bed, a second conduit or conduits to conduct water from the first bed to the second bed to further deionize the water, if required, a pump to receive water that has passed through the first bed, or through the first and second beds, and to pressurized said received water to a level of at least about 1,200 PSI, and a nozzle connected to the pump to dispense a high pressure stream of the water.

Deionized water washing system and controls

A system to produce a high pressure stream of deionized water, for cleaning a body or bodies, comprising, in combination, a deionization bed within a first vessel, a first conduit or conduits to conduct non-deionized water at a relatively low pressure or pressures to pass through the bed to deionize the water, a primary sensor to measure the deionization level of water that has passed through the bed, a second conduit or conduits to conduct water from the bed, a pump to receive water passed by the second conduit or conduits and to pressurize said received water to a level of at least about 1,200 PSI, a nozzle connected to the pump and operable to controllably dispense a high pressure stream of deionized water for highly effective cleaning of said bodies, and a hand truck carrying said vessel, conduits, pump and nozzle for transporting same to the location of said body or bodies.

Deionized water washing apparatus and method

An electrical machine has a stator, and a rotor defining an axis of rotation, the stator including laminations located along that axis, the laminations having protrusions, the protrusions on each lamination being circularly spaced apart about the axis to define cooling air flow passages, and a fan mounted on the rotor to effect flow of cooling air into and through such passages as the rotor rotates.

Cooling of electrical machinery

A removable sleeping compartment assembly for the use of a number of passengers is provided based upon the nesting together of a number of different modules, typically having a standard cargo container configuration, that incorporates internal sleeping berths and convenience features in such manner so as to provide a number of individual habitats. The modules are configured with at least partially open abutting sides which may have upper and lower berths, separated by aisles, and isolated by enclosure elements. Appurtenances in the modules protrude through the open sides to nest into the adjoining space when the assembly is joined together. The convenience features include restroom facilities, storage and disposable supply means, and means for providing convenient entry into and exit from the interior of the volume defined by the unitary assembly.
