The addition of a medial longitudinal score line (hinge point) along the longitudinal channels of the filter frame allows for thinner media and/or collapsing the frame on itself which will reduce scrap, save space and save tremendously on shipping costs. The additional score line can be a cut score, skip score, crush score or liquid line. The collapsed filter frame expands upon sliding into the channels of the filter frame media holder whereby the filter frame expands and widens to fit the filter assembly.

A process for treating silica dielectric film on a substrate, which includes reacting a suitable hydrophilic silica film with an effective amount of a multifunctional surface modification agent. The film is present on a substrate and optionally has a pore structure with hydrophilic pore surfaces, and the reaction is conducted for a period of time sufficient for said surface modification agent to penetrate said pore structure and produce a treated silica film having a dielectric constant of about 3 or less, wherein the surface modification agent is hydrophobic and suitable for silylating or capping silanol moieties on such hydrophilic surfaces. The present invention relates to nanoporous dielectric films and to a process for their manufacture. Such films are useful in the production of integrated circuits. A precursor of an alkoxysilane, and low and high volatility solvents are mixed at a pH of about 2-5, raised to a pH of about 8 or above with a low volatility base and deposited on a semiconductor substrate. After exposure to atmospheric moisture, a nanoporous dielectric film is produced on the substrate.

Disclosed are processes for producing gel composition which may be utilized to produce low density gel compositions without the need for supercritical drying, thermal treatment or surface treatment. The processes comprise drying a wet gel comprising gel solids and a drying agent to remove the drying agent while minimizing shrinkage of the gel during drying.

A jet water teeth cleaning apparatus comprises a shower head for releasably attaching the apparatus to the inlet pipe of a shower. A valve coupled to the shower head selectably diverts water through a flexible tube to a handheld unit. The hand unit includes a housing with a nozzle and a pistol-grip style handle. The handle includes a trigger for regulating the velocity of water allowed to flow through the housing and for actuating a battery powered vibration unit. The vibration unit includes a reciprocating piston which maintains optimal water pressure by stirring the water flow to reduce friction between the water and the channel. The housing further includes a refillable reservoir of dentifrice which communicates a quantity of dentifrice into the water stream channel according to a siphoning or Venturi effect. The water stream with dentifrice is expelled through the nozzle for cleaning or flossing a user's teeth while showering.
