A rodenticide composition is described along with a method for using the same to exterminate rodents. The composition features a mixture of a dehydrant for causing dehydration in a rodent, a water-absorbent, hygromorphic carrier for absorbing water and expanding after consumption by the rodent, and a flavoring composition. The carrier can be a source of cellulose or a non-cellulosic material. After consumption of the composition by a rodent, the dehydrant and carrier cause the rodent to experience dehydration. The rodenticide composition may also include an irritant that causes digestive stress to the rodent, which further stresses and dehydrates the rodent. Once the rodenticide composition is prepared, it may be placed in areas frequented by or infested with rodents so as to kill the rodents once they consume the composition. One or more flavorings, coloring agents, and weather resistant materials may also be added to the composition.

Rodenticide

Taurine-containing compositions and methods for producing an extending the release of nutrients or other compounds from an ingested item and for improving assimilation of those nutrients or other compounds by the body during digestion are described. The compositions can be a single food-safe taurine-containing compound or a composition containing two or more food-safe taurine-containing compounds. The taurine-containing composition can include a taurine ester, a taurine salt, a taurine amino alcohol, or a combination of two or more of the foregoing. The compositions can be applied to ingestible items such as foods and nutritional supplements to control the timing of release of nutrients and other compounds during digestion.

Taurine-containing composition for improving assimilation of compounds contained in ingestible items

A composition to affect an arthropod is described that may include a fatty alcohol, a surface active agent, and a carrier. The composition may include substantially no oil and interrupts production of adipokinetic hormones (AKH) in the arthropod. The composition is introducible to the arthropod via contact or via a liquid application such as a spray. A method of using the composition is described that may include introducing the composition to an environment, causing the arthropod be introduced to the composition, and affecting production of peptides in the arthropod via the composition that affect energy regulation of the arthropod.

Arthropod pest control composition and method

A rodenticide composition is described along with a method for using the same to exterminate rodents. The composition features a mixture of a dehydrant, a composition for producing endogenous gas, a dietary emulsifier, a hypercalcemia promoter, and a source of cellulose. After consumption of the composition by a rodent, the dehydrant and source of cellulose cause the rodent to experience dehydration, while the endogenous gas produced by the composition causes bloating and increased digestive stress. The dietary emulsifier and hypercalcemia promoter cause digestive stress, which reduces the rodent's desire to feed and quickens dehydration and death. Once the rodenticide composition is prepared, it may be placed in areas frequented by or infested with rodents so as to kill the rodents once they consume the composition. One or more flavorings, coloring agents, and weather resistant materials may also be added to the composition.

Compositions and methods are described that promote health and increase a shelf-life of foods. The compositions may feature mixtures of fatty acids, vegetable gums, and oligosaccharides. When introduced into a food article, the compositions can act as a protective barrier for micronutrients, phytochemicals, and nutraceuticals such as may be found in food products, for example food additives, as the food products are stored and as the food products are being digested. The compositions can stabilize food products during prolonged storage and as ingested food products move through the digestive tract so that nutrients are available for absorption in a consumer's intestines. Methods for producing food additives using the compositions are also described.

Plant-based enteric coating composition

A composition for producing a pharmacological effect is provided, which includes a bio-active ingredient and a carrier liquid solution. The bio-active ingredient can be a cannabinoid, cannabinomimetic, or combination thereof capable of inducing a pharmacological effect. The cannabinomimetic can be or can include one or more isoprenoids. The carrier liquid composition can include ethanol, at least one lecithin, at least one fatty alcohol, a liposome, and an active compound that includes glycerin or glycerol. The bio-active ingredient is receivable by a cannabinoid receptor and/or an acetylcholine receptor, which causes the production of the pharmacological effect. The composition may also include flavoring agents and aromatherapy agents. The composition is deliverable to a user via vaporization. A method is provided for creating a pharmacological effect using the composition.

Vaporizable cannabinoid compositions

A composition is provided that includes a cannabinoid capable of inducing a pharmacological effect, an ester, a condensation aerosol, and a carrier liquid solution of food grade materials. The cannabinoid may include a bio-active ingredient receivable by a cannabinoid receptor and/or an acetylcholine receptor. The pharmacological effect may be produced by reception of tetrahydrocannabinol, cannabidiol, or mixtures thereof. The composition may also include ethanol, flavoring agents, and aromatherapy agents. The composition is deliverable to a user via vaporization. A method is provided for creating a pharmacological effect using the composition.

The natural dehydrant can be corn gluten meal, soy hydrolysate, soybean oil, castor oil, linseed oil, sodium chloride, cottonseed oil, any other suitable natural dehydrant, combinations thereof, or any other suitable material derived from any of the foregoing. Once the rodenticide composition is prepared, it may be placed in areas frequented by or infested with rodents so as to kill the rodents once they consume the composition.

Compositions and methods are described for delaying the onset of the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease in humans. The compositions can include curcumin, piperine, oleic acid, oleanolic acid, ursolic acid, galantamine, and huperzine A, among other compounds. Curcumin is an antioxidant, while galantamine and huperzine A inhibit the activity of acetylcholinesterase in the brain. Piperine and oleic acid increase the bioavailability and gastrointestinal absorption of curcumin, galantamine, huperzine A, and other nutrients. The composition can also include at least one of phytic acid, piracetam, aniracetam, or indium.

Composition to retard the onset of symptoms of alzheimer's disease

An apparatus and method for the preparation and formation of a stable sub-colloidal-sized silver metal hydrosol in pure distilled water without the use of supporting or stabilizing proteins, carbohydrates, or similar types of ligands. The silver metal hydrosol is created by passing an alternating current, high-voltage arc discharge between two pure silver electrodes. The discharge arc passes from a silver wire suspended above the distilled water working fluid, first through the air, and then through the working fluid to a submerged silver plate, thereby completing the circuit. With the passage of the discharge arc through the silver wire, a quantity of the silver metal is deflagrated from the bulk surface of the metal and is vaporized into silver metal atoms, or aggregates of atoms, dispersed into the air. The vaporized silver metal atoms are rapidly quenched into separate atoms or aggregates upon making contact with the cooled working fluid.

The invention is a low calorie sugar substitute suitable for use as a sugar replacement, including use in activities such as baking and cooking. It is a combination of an intense sweetener and a bulking agent. The intense sweetener is acesulfame potassium. The bulking agent is either erythritol or a mixture of gluco-mannitol and gluco-sorbitol. Preferably the ratio of intense sweetener to the bulking agent is in the range of 0.20 to 0.35 percent by weight.
