A support plate is used in a cog rake bar screen of a wastewater treatment facility and the cog rake bar screen includes an adjustable pin rack system coupled to a frame. The support plate includes a plate having a centerline extending between opposite side walls of the plate. The plate includes a fastener hole for receiving a fastener to couple the plate to the pin rack system and the frame. A set screw is connected to the plate for adjusting position of the plate relative to the frame and thereby adjusting position of the pin rack system.

Adjustable pin rack systems for cog rake bar screens

An assembly for removing grit particles from a fluid having a flow. The assembly includes a tank having walls for holding fluid for separation of grit particles from the fluid, a fluid inlet for flow of fluid into the tank, a fluid outlet for flow of fluid from the tank, an inlet diffusion baffle assembly including a baffle positioned to direct fluid flow toward the tank walls and a lower chamber of the tank, and an outlet baffle assembly including a baffle positioned in a rear of the tank at an upward slope from the center of the tank toward the fluid outlet configured to direct fluid flow toward the center of the tank.

High efficiency grit removal system

A filtering device suitable for filtering a flow of fluid in a channel includes a plurality of filter elements coupled to one another to define a filter loop. The filter loop is configured to position a filter element in the channel to filter a portion of the flow of fluid. The filtering device also includes a plurality of resilient seal members. Each seal member is coupled to one of the plurality of filter elements such that the seal member is at least partially compressed by an adjacent filter element. At least one seal member inhibits the flow of fluid between the filter element to which the seal member is attached and the adjacent filter element.

A fine filter screen assembly includes a frame assembly and a rotatable shaft supported in the frame. A drive is configured to controllably rotate the shaft and at least one drive drum is positioned on the shaft for rotation therewith. The drive drum has an external surface that is substantially defined by a high friction surface and a fine filter grid is supported in the frame assembly and positioned about and in contact with the drive drum such that rotation of the shaft causes rotation of the fine filter grid.

Filter screen assembly

A filter screen that is used in filtering water and that includes a frame and a grid assembly that is supported by the frame for movement. The grid assembly includes a continuous unbroken drive chain having a guide link, and a screen panel. The screen panel is coupled to the guide link for selective movement between an operating condition and a maintenance condition. When the screen panel is in the operating condition the screen panel is fixed relative to the guide link for movement with the guide link and for filtering water. In the maintenance condition, the screen panel is pivotable relative to the guide link to permit access to the interior of the filter screen for inspection of chain components.

Tilt-out frame for a filter screen

An assembly for removing grit from a fluid comprising a tank with a fluid inlet into the tank and a discharge from the tank. A flow directing assembly is positioned in the tank adjacent the fluid inlet and includes a substantially U-shaped surface opposite the fluid inlet such that fluid entering the tank through the inlet is caused to have a reversed flow in a direction more than 90 degrees from an inlet flow direction. At least one embodiment of the assembly further comprises a baffle positioned proximate the tank discharge to control flow adjacent the discharge. Yet a further embodiment of the assembly includes a screw conveyor positioned in a trough of the tank and a baffle is positioned proximate the trough to minimize fluid flow velocity adjacent to the screw conveyor.

Grit removal assemblies

A fine filter screen assembly comprising a length of filter screen having a relatively fine filtering surface and terminating at opposite ends with opposed end shafts. Generally open connecting means interconnect the opposed end shafts to define a continuous loop structure. At least one removable filter grid having a substantially fine filtering surface is removably mounted between the opposed end shafts such that the continuous loop structure has a substantially continuous relatively fine filtering surface. Removal of the grid allows internal access to the screen assembly.

A waste water filter screen assembly that has a substantially open foot section to promote more efficient flow through. The rotating grid is generally free hanging. The present invention further provides a drive assembly with square, high friction drive drums mounted on the drive shaft. The present invention further provides idler roller assemblies mounted for guiding the rotating grid adjacent the filter screen assembly head. The open foot section, drive assembly and idler roller assembly are useable with filter grids of both the link element type and the panel type.

A grit washer is disclosed having a bearing assembly which supports a conveyor and which is removably mounted to the exterior of the grit washer tank. With the bearing assembly being mounted to the exterior of the tank, the bearing assembly is easily accessible without the need to drain the tank or lift the screw conveyor out of the tank. The bearing assembly can therefore be easily inspected, repaired and/or replaced as necessary. The external placement of the bearing assembly also isolates the bearing assembly from the abrasive grit in the tank thereby minimizing the damage to the bearing assembly caused by the grit.

The bar screen of the present invention includes a bar rack and a cleaning rake. The bar rack includes a plurality of aligned bars and is adapted to be at least partially positioned within the channeled water. The cleaning rake is movably coupled to the bar rack and includes a plurality of tooth segments. Each tooth segment includes a base portion and a plurality of teeth. The base portion is coupled to the cleaning rake, and the plurality of teeth is connected to the base portion. Each tooth of the plurality of teeth is adapted to be inserted between adjacent bars on the bar rack to remove debris that has accumulated on the upstream side of the bar rack. The teeth are breakable from the base when the teeth engage immovable debris trapped within the bar rack.

A wear shoe for mounting to a flight of a sludge collector. The wear shoe snaps into a surface of the flight at a desired location and is held in place with no additional fasteners or hardware. The wear shoe is able to be utilized with any channel-type flight configuration.

There is provided a guide roller assembly for use in a wastewater treatment facility comprising a pin and a guide roller, wherein the guide roller directly surrounds the pin and the pin rotates within the roller. There is also provided a guide roller assembly for use in a cog rake bar screen comprising a pin and a guide roller, the guide roller surrounding the pin, wherein the guide roller comprises a low-friction polymeric material and the pin rotates within the guide roller, the guide roller being free to rotate.

There is also provided an alternate embodiment further incorporating an offset coupler link.
